Kovalev is the real pound per pound champ in my eyes. He is second or third, behind The triple God.

Walters/Russell Jr > Anyone GGG has fought. Oh maybe c level lemieux who got outboxed by Joachmin Alcine is better.

It's a good argument. The reason I give (at the bare minimum) Ward an edge, other than the fact he's just gone more or less equal with another top P4P candidate, is that he's cashing in on the proof of his previous pedigree. In other words, I'm not just judging a 2-year window and value the longevity and consistency of a fighter's top level performance against their competition. So why don't I put Loma above based on who is just the best pure boxer P4P? I guess it's because I'm valuing accomplishments over H2H suppositions.

You're saying he's done enough in both senses and is plenty proven given the dominance of his victories and the calibre of his opponents. I can't exactly refute it other than to say we haven't seen a definitive fight between Lomachenko and another fighter who could be the P4P best in the world. Although my guess is that he is the best and would win more clearly than a Ward or a Kovalev, it needs to happen first for me to bank it in the accomplishments box... or he keeps notching up this type of win against very good fighters and at a certain point it will push him over the edge.

How old was Lemieux when he lost?

Why is that relevant? Alcine was coming off getting bodied by Angulo in like a round lmfao. Oh I forgot he also got stopped by Rubio LOL. Loma > GGG. If GGG beats Jacobs, it becomes more even since Jacobs is the same caliber as a walters/grj, but we all know GGG wants to rip Jacobs off and give him less than what he got against Quillin. What a diva.

Ok but Lemieux isn't that good, he beat a bunch of Quillin leftovers? Like really who did he beat. N'dam is his best win, and he would have won that fight if he wasn't KD. lemieux is so basic he just has really good power. I rate a win over GRJ and Walters far above Lemieux.

Lemieux is not the same fighter he was when he lost to Alcine, he would be competitive today against any Middleweight.

Canelo would easily destroy Lemieux. Only reason Jacobs/Lemieux could be competitive is because of his glass chin, but skill wise Jacobs is far ahead.

Canelo vs Lemieux would be entertaining, I am not entirely sold on Canelo yet. But I am sure his power and chin is enough to shatter Jacobs grade A fine China.

Ill bet u up to 500 dollars and give you 2:1 odds for Canelo/Lemieux fight. Canelo wins easy, he's a completely different level. Jacobs I wouldnt bet because Mora kd him lol so Lemieux could ko him forsure.

Hopefully Lemieux fights Jacobs or gets Canelo next to see where I can gauge him at.

Would you take the Canelo/Lemieux bet? And I dont want to see LEmieux fight Canelo, give me Canelo/GGG, that's a Ward/Kovalev type fight, it wouldnt be Loma/Walters.

This forum is filled with a bunch of bandwagon prisoners of the moment. Gonzalez is still the best in the sport. Walters got exposed tonight as a fighter who is a one trick pony. He got outboxed by a guy who used movement. Love Loma as he is just incredible. Loma and chocolatito are the two best boxers in terms of skill in the sport today. Incredible to watch these two guys fight.
