Loma Rigo heating up..

Rigo's actually got a longer reach than Loma by a couple inches I think. With his accuracy and sharpness it could be telling, Loma has taken some clean shots in few of his fights Marriaga the most recent and none of those opponents are remotely close to Rigo's calibre

 

I want Loma to win , but he’s becoming too cocky.

 

Rigo doesn't like to fight southpaws. His defense and offense goes down a notch when he doesn't have the advantage. He struggled with Cordoba earlier in his career.

I think Loma is down playing the impact of beating Rig. He highlighting what the critics will obviously point out should he win...the size and age factor has already been thrown out as excuses should Rig lose. I think the real reason he's taking the fight is because he knows beating a p4p fighter will increase his stock and legacy significantly. I don't think he was complaining, just getting ahead of all the comments that will come to discredit his win...should he win

 

i agree with your reasoning, my beef is with the fact that he took the fight and then blames analysis for excuses. theres a reason he expects those things to be said should he win, because those reasons have merit, otherwise they would not be worth mentioning. if he felt the downplaying of his win was not worth the money hes getting, he could have turned the fight down and gave the same statements hes making now as the reason for not taking it. it reminds me of a kid saying that he lies because nobody ever believes him anyway.
