    Who looked more impressive in fighting a fighter in a lower weight class?

    I thought both looked very good. Both Garcia and Rigo were P4P fighters and got dominated. Both did not win a single round. Both Loma/Spence get criticism for fighting the guys but their domination in the ring makes up for it. What do you think?

    Debatable that Rigo won the first round, and Garcia won the second round, in my opinion.

    I agree, both Lomachenko and Spence looked fantastic. Spence beat a prime fighter though. Lomachenko beat an old man.

    It was easy money, and exposure for both guys. Loma even said, he doesn't gain anything, that Rigo is small, and older. On the other hand it seems people are giving Spence major props for beating Garcia. I might give Spence a tad more credit because Mikey is in his prime, but it still doesn't really mean **** to me. Neither Garcia, or Rigondeaux had done anything at the weight class that they got beaten at. It would be different if both guys had of moved up, and beat a top 10 guy before the big fight so that we knew what they had at the weight. But neither did that, so we don't know.

    @The Akbar One

    Your obsession with Loma is seriously unhealthy

    Both Rigo and Garcia were in the top 10 p4p

    Loads of people were picking Rigo to win, whereas hardly anybody was choosing Mikey

    There's 12lbs difference between Lightweight to Welterweight, whereas there's 8lbs difference between Super Bantamweight to Featherweight. Rigo basically moved up one weight class in most divisional differences, there's far to many weight classes in the lower midget weights it's ridiculous they need to get rid of some.

    Loma had fought at Featherweight that's his natural weight, Spence had always been a Welterweight.

    Loma didn't even use size, he just with technique, skills and movement completely dominated him.

    Loma made Rigo quit, Spence won on points.

    Despite the size disadvantage, both Mikey and Rigo had all the tools to make Spence and Loma look limited and at times subpar.

    Spence couldn't stop or land clean all that much on a guy with top tier defense.

    Loma landed consistently on and made go no mas a DEFENSIVE MASTER, that almost no on lands clean on.

    Rigondeaux got schooled because he was old and inactive. Same thing happened with Walter's. Comeback fights are usually gruelling. If your heart aint in it it's easy to quit.

    Garcia came in too heavy. Marquez weighed 148 on fight night vs floyd, mayweather came in 146 vs judah, 149 vs baldomir, pacquiao 148 vs marg, mosley etc. Then you have mikey who was weighing 146 at 140, deciding it's a good idea to come in at154.

    I give Spence the edge because Garcia's will was at least still there to be overcome.
