Yep. At one point in the fight (at the end of six I think), Max Kellerman and I had it three apiece. Watching it from a pub, I thought, ok, Max and me see it the same way. Comparing our scorecards the next day, at the end of six, while agreeing on the 3-3 bit, we only agreed on two out of the six rounds. It was a weird fight. And definitely from Mr. Morettii, a weird result.
Exactly this fight was close either way and you have people acting like it was a one sided clinic. This **** is hilarious. For the last time close fights are not robberies I don't know when this trend started but it needs to stop. Charlo Harrison 1 was a close fight that could've gone either way like haney-loma but I sure as hell didn't hear people crying charlo got robbed. People don't know the definition of what a robbery is. Rjj in the Olympics was a robbery there was no case that could be made that he lost that fight. Haney-loma and Charlo Harrison 1 were not robberies.
I think a lot of it is that fans get very emotionally invested in certain fighters and need them to win in order to be proven right, to feed their ego and to enhance their credibility. And when that doesn't happen, when the judges see it differently, they can't cope with being wrong or seeing their favorite fighter lose. We saw the same thing when GGG drew and lost to Canelo. It's one thing to score it for Loma, or to score GGG over Canelo, but you should be mature enough to respect the official decision, whether you agree with it or not, and show good sportsmanship win lose or draw. When Harrison beat Jermell, I was rooting for Jermell, but I respected the decision. I recognize what Harrison accomplished in that fight, with his slick style, his use of the jab, and I was OK with the decision. I didn't cry about it, and Jermell ended up becoming more motivated to right the wrong in the rematch, which led to a fantastic rematch.
Excellent post I couldn't agree more. As you know I'm a huge jermell fan and I was in the rbr for that fight Harrison fight, I picked him to win and scored it for him but the judges didn't. I didn't cry like a girl and claim he got robbed. I took the loss like a man and hoped charlo would learn and get better gave Harrison his due and moved on. Alot of fans today like you said are too emotionally invested for various reasons and simply can't accept defeat like it's them in the ring fighting.
But if that was true Pimp you'd admit Floyd was NOT an undefeated fighter but a fighter that got a few gifts * lots of help
What gifts did he get CJ? The man had like 2 close fights his whole career. A close fight doesn't mean a gift.
In reality you probably pounded several shots of Hennessy or made another codeine cocktail and repeated until you passed out.
Nah. I'm used to the Vegas Mob robbing fighters blind at this point. Carbed up with a pizza and went for a 5 mile run first thing in the morning.
He lost to Castillo & Maidana should have been DQ'd against Ortiz & Judah when Roger came in ring & attacked Judah. Plus the debacle in the Pac man fight. Floyd was proven to have cheated ... receiving an illegal excessive 750 ml of saline in his own home 24 hours before the fight. That is THREE infractions of the NSAC 's own rules regarding saline drip Actually FOUR he never applied for a TUE for the saline did he? We all know why he did this don't we. So did the NSAC know why, but when asked what was the NSAC going to do about it Bob Bennett made this statement " Mr Mayweather did nothing wrong so we will not be investigating" ROFL The comes the straw that breaks the camels back... They issue him a retroactive TUE f0r the saline THREE WEEKS AFTER the incident !!!!!!!! Remember this is the same NSAC who on the same night denied Pac his previously agreed on shot of LEGAL toradol pain killer for his injured rotator cuff claiming he hadn't ticked the right box on the form claiming injury !!!. Its almost unbelievable how they protected Floyd but it really happened & no one can deny it. The Pac fight should have been made a N/C & Floyd should have had a very long suspension if not a ban
Man stop! You're just a butthurt excuse maker with an axe to grind. Pbf was the best fighter of his era and got put into the hof first ballot a year ago. Your speculation and hate will never change it.
But it wasn't the same was it? Jermell was expected to flat line Harrison nobody expected a close fight Harrison was the B side you had no choice but to pretend to take it like a man because Harrison humiliated Charlo that night. In this case everybody with sense knew that the deck was stacked heavily against Loma yet he still had Haney hurt you even heard Haney say to his Dad in the corner "He knows everything I'm doing" does that sound like a man who is winning lol. You know full well it was a robbery you are not fooling anybody.
