Oddly its probably Arum pushing for it in the UK. Suspect Crawford/Khan was a disaster financially and he wants the UK PPV money this time around. If it went to a purse bid and Hearn won hed have put it in the US. Strange times

Campbell is delusional on how he rates himself but he's worked himself into position for another title shot but unfortunately for him it's against a fighter he has no chance of beating.

He'll do better than Crolla but Linares was his best shot at a title.

A few years ago Campbell could have been a world champion but the talent pool is too high for him now.

Lomachenko turned down Pacquiao at 140 to potentially fight Luke Campbell in Hull.

Fair enough but I hope he doesn't start moaning about not being a PPV draw etc as he only has.himself to blame

He's only a year younger than Crolla, he does have less wear and tear but still he aint no spring chicken

Lomachenko has been talking about a potential fight with Campbell for some time now. There’s a genuine respect for Campbell whom he rates from their amateur days.

I really rate Campbell’s boxing skills but I just feel that he’s never really kicked on and built any momentum in his career. It’s been too stop-start. He’s 31, yet he’s been getting himself down to 135 since his mid 20’s. I’ve never been convinced by fighters overstaying their welcome in weight divisions they should have naturally have grown out of years before. It shortens their careers and their durability.

To top it off, he’s only fought one southpaw in journeyman Chuck Jones in his entire pro career. Compare that to Loma who beat 2 elite southpaws in Russell Jn and Rigondeaux, I just think that Loma will be much more comfortable fighting a fellow southpaw than Campbell will. I just hope he does himself proud and gives Loma a few problems.

This is what I mean about SKY (and BT). They’re not providing the funds to host big shows in the UK.

I'm glad you mentioned that Chuck Jones fight, I'm sure that's the fight where he kept getting caught with straight shots from Jones, was open for it time and again.

Be interesting to see how often he gets hit from that shop by an elite fighting southpaw.

Even though Loma wanted the fight in UK ,Hearn wouldnt put up the cash so the fight will be in USA....

Hearn banging on about the money is better in USA etc ...another one for the Hearn contradiction thread.....

The money is better in the US, it is the truth so why is it a contradiction?

You make out it’s a Hearn problem, it’s not. Open your eyes past your bitterness towards Hearn.

Saunders vs Lemieux, where was Saunders va Andrade scheduled to take place?

    Fury’s last two fights.

Frampton is over in the states next with TopRank.

    Beefy vs Canelo and Munguaia.

    Brook vs Porter.

Probably a lot more too and all were/are Warren fighters.

Our networks, SKY and BT aren’t putting up the money for the best fights. All we are getting is second rate PPVs and/or domestic clashes that wouldn’t sell abroad.

Because Hearn spent the past few years telling everyone the UK is where its at and why should AJ go to USA etc etc etc

Turned down the Wilder fight for minimum $80 million for 2 fights then offered Wilder $15 and said Wilder was running scared....

My point is there is an opportunity for Hearn to get the best boxer of a generation or more to fight one of his fighters and give him home advantage but he wont pay the dough ...

I suspect Hearn pitched this as a domestic PPV to Sky and they said no hence why it is going to purse bids. It should be on regular Sky Sports if it’s in America.
