It was rather obvious. Loma himself as well as Klimas said that it would not be smart to fight Mikey after a surgery and a layoff.

 

Also, with four major belts on the line the potential Lomachenko vs. Garcia fight would grow even bigger. For the undisputed lightweight championship!

Damn, actually initially Loma should have fought Beltran on August 25... But, it can't be helped, things not always go as planned.

Actually Mickey getting battered by Spence will help the fight with Loma become more of a reality. Bob only matches his guys up with guys who show recent weakness. You guys don’t want to believ but look at Manny’s career. He fights Margarito instead of Shane. Fights Cotto instead of Margarito. Fights JMM after years and losing all rounds to Floyd. Bob knows how to match and right now, Mickey is too much of a threat but by all means, believe Mickey is ducking to save face.

 

Apparently, Spence-Garcia is also in the works. Mikey don't want it.

Everyone knows who the elite boxers are. As the brilliant Ukranian knows who these are, he should be targeting them to cement his desired place as one of the greatest, instead of these second and third tier belt holders.

 

Coming off of surgery for any fighter is a gamble. You just have no idea how the repair will hold up, especially after such a short time to properly heal. I know, I had surgery for shoulder dislocations. It has never been the same.

 

loma and his dad know what many of his huggers refuse to accept, mikey is the real deal and fighting him less than 100% is a ko loss, whereas the rest he has no problem facing for less money and little credit, and i would advise the same thing, cause i also know mikey will be 110% prepared to carve his name over lomas scalp... injured or not.
