The only rounds that seem to be in dispute are rounds 2 and 7. I saw Lopez sweep rounds 1-7 and take back 12. I saw Loma take rounds 8-11 in a sweep. As fas as round 2 goes, they looked like the other first 6, didn't see Loma land much to give him the round. Round 7 I saw Lopez dominate the first half and Loma turning it up later in the round. I could kind of see how people would give it to Loma, but I thought it was overall fought at Lopez pace, he controlled the ring, and did great early work, that Loma's work wasn't enough for me to steal the round. Anyhow, I don't see how the decision could be in dispute, and it's a worthless argument, but I do see these rounds as being in dispute so might as well focus our arguments. Go ahead people, have at it. Justify how you judged these rounds people!
119-109 or 115-113, the score doesn't matter. What matters is the right fighter gets the decision and in this case they did.
Nope Lomachenko was out boxing Lopez in round 6. Outlanded him. Lopez also didn't land the uppercut at the end of the round, it hit Lomas chest. That's the only way you'd be able to give to Lopez and even then I don't think that's be enough. If you think coming forwards with pressure and getting outlanded wins you a round then I don't know what to say.
People, still, after 12389407623198456193827456 years watching boxing still do not understand that the 3 freaking judges do not watch the same fight. And that none of them watch the same fight that we watch. Because sitting on the ringside you can miss part of the action if it happens in the other side of the ring. That's why the 3 judges sit on different parts of the ring. 109287349081623578123694871629834612 fights later, still there will be idiots arguing for 1 point even if the winner was the right man.
