Perhaps he deserves a higher split being the IBF Champion. Crolla took the fight for just £230K

The problem is that Teo could get that much to headline against a top 10 guy.

That's close to double his last reported purse. At his age, he should consider himself lucky to be in the position to earn that. He won't be getting that on his own for possibly years, or without another bigger name.

There are not many big fights for Loma. Teofimo is using his leverage. Lomas camp would be fools to let this fight slip away over a low-ball offer when a big win for Loma here could make him a star

How is that a low ball when Lopez made .75 Mill his last fight? Loma's star is already shining brighter than Lopez'. Beating a lessor known, less accomplished fighter is supposed to make Loma an even bigger star??? No. Doesn't work like that. It'll add some but not be the line in the stand that moves Loma to the next level of fandom.

Feel sorry for Haney in all honesty.

Got his mandatory ripped away as top rank requested Loma became franchise then. This was so he could fight Teo and the fight isn’t I’m even contractually agreed as we was all led to believe in the first place.

If this doesn’t happen they should call purse bids for Haney vs Loma and do the right thing.

Top Rank should offer Lopez more. However, he should make that sacrifice if he's confident of winning. His team might not want to jeopardize his star potential this early. Sucks for us.
