Even through the 8th then Loma swept. BTW, Ortiz looked like a middleweight, he had to outweigh Loma by at least 15 lbs

Just found my scorecard for the fight and it's exactly the same as yours,,,,do you know what this means? Obviously you are a keen observer of the sport of boxing and are well tuned in to the nuances of scoring fights that the average fan can't fathom, congratulations,,,,,,LOL!!!
on viewing it again I can see why some think its close actually... b/c of Ortiz' sharp jap... hes good at measuring distance too.. but if you watch it closely although it's keeping Loma honest it's not really scoring a lot of the time it's hitting his gloves & arms or he's just avoiding it altogether .. Loma is forcing the action mostly & he then goes to another level that Ortiz cant reach ... the right man won undoubtedly tho, he was landing the harder shots , forced the fight & won the championship rounds... but yes I can agree see why ppl think it closer.. I'll admit I didn't give Ortiz enough credit.... probably took 3/4 of the first 6 & I gave him the 8th too.. Loma needs to be careful tho because for awhile this fight looked like it was going the exact same way as the Lopez fight he's too gun shy and that is probably down to the fact that these guys are just longer and naturally bigger ... which he's able to negate most of the time but I think Ortiz & Lopez (pre mental breakdown lol) are world-class unlike the likes of Commey... who are solid B level guys.. Loma has gotta use the jab more & up his output... and maybe there's also an element in this fight of Loma holding back to reel Haney in and put in a sub par performance similar to what Usyk did against the Chisora ... but regardless boxing is a young mans game and as special as the Ukrainian is I think his window may have passed now.. especially fighting in a division where guys are rehydrating to ridiculous levels .. I mean it's not an exaggeration to say that ortiz looked like a welterweight at least in there.. Haney actually might just be too big and too young for him now
