Moving down a weight class in your 30s is not a good idea. He last fought at 130 3 years ago, he's now 32 and has unified titles at 135. 130 is in the past, draining against a power puncher is a bad idea.
After his first loss to Salido, Loma had surgery and came back to win a title impressively. He has now experienced a second loss, is having a second surgery. I would not want to be his next opponent especially at 130. Loma by total clowning. LSC was beating Tank even with Tank fouling. Tanks power bailed him out. He has a punchers chance against Loma.
loma is a small 135 pounder, he'll have no problem making 130. if anything tank could be drained at 130 in a year.
He hadn't fought there for 3 years. If he moves down at age 33 and faces a young prime title holder, he's going to get splattered and it will be largely to do with the drain as opposed to just the skill. I'm not even sure I'd favour Loma at 135 over Davis tbh.
Loma is a 130 pounder fighting at 135. He can easily make 130 and should move there to fight at his true weight. Tank probably never sees 130 on the scales again even if he wants to. Loma schools Tank at 130 or 135. But the fight never happens as long as Tank continues his bum tour. He wants no part of a a legit LW unless you are talking about a fight on Twitter.
This fight shall never happen. Do not expect the Mayweather team to expose Tank to any fighter he does not have an advantage over. There will be no Devin Haney's or Lopez' in his future.
And there always will be exceptions, but they should never be used to try to prove a rule. 2 to the power x, plus 1 is sometimes a prime number, but not always. Loma is a LW. He's been there for 3 years. He's unified all the titles bar one and has only lost one fight, to a better fighter If he moves down and faces Davis he will be knocked the **** out.
