    What does Haney being a jab and grab fighter have to do with Ortiz being a big puncher when clearly Ortiz isn't a big puncher?

    It really isn't. When you cut two stone to be the big guy of the division instead of fighting close to your natural weight, you're a bully.

    Besides the style clash fight's cool cause of question like how much Loma has left (was affected more by war than age) and how much Haney can improve, cause he's still growing and younger than Loma was when he was schooled on pro boxing by his stepfather, Saliddadio.

    One scenario's the old dog outfoxing the upcoming kid Floyd/Clen-like, and the other's a JMM-Bradley version where the skilled veteran boxer-puncher simply faces an athlete too big, too fast, too energetic, and I'm leaning toward the latter.

    No doubt it's intriguing and I'd probably favor Shakur more over sLomo.

    His off night against Ortiz didn't dissuade me in the least from my initial prediction, I still think Loma batters Haney and stops him late. Haney fights nothing like Ortiz, he's not nearly as fast, awkward, fleet footed and isn't a former sparring partner, who's also a switch hitter. Haney doesn't have the power or speed to keep Loma off of him, and certainly doesn't present Loma with anything he hasn't already seen before.

    Yeah because we all know Ortiz is a great legendary puncher right? Sure he has only 8 KOs out of his 16 wins but he is such a hard puncher. He is basically like the Julian Jackson of the 135 pound weight class. Haney is leagues above Ortiz and that isn't really saying much.

    Agreed.

    Alternatively, anyone who believes Haney "washes" Loma overrate the former and greatly underestimate the latter.
