Yes Lopez is younger bigger and stronger. An up and coming KO artist. He's only beat 1 name in Commey which was a good win in dominating fashion. Lopez talked himself into this fight which is a smart move business wise. I can see Loma outboxing him handily making it similar to a Luke Campbell type of affair. The power of course is the equalizer here but just dont see it happening (despite yesterdays tongue in cheek post) Only if Loma has slipped and if the ring rust is real (this is a true negative factor) could a disaster happen. But by and large the expectation is the Loma wins and in the end the win wont be so meaningful.
He won't get credit in the short-time, but like aforementioned, it depends on how well Lopez's career progresses from the fight onwards.
Man you're such a hater. That's like saying Mayweather shouldn't ever have received any credit because he was almost always expected to win.
Unfortunately he is in the same boat Mayweather was in. Haters will always find a way to discredit the fighters they dislike.
Depends entirely on what Lopez goes on to do, since he's so relatively untested. It's a bit like Leonard-Hearns. Tommy's rep was built largely on his destruction of Cuevas, and if he fizzled out after losing to Leonard the Cuevas destruction would probably be somewhat written off with Tommy being in with the right kind of opponent at the right night, but in real life his accomplishments after that showed he was a right nightmare h2h under 160, and a tough test for anyone all the way up to 175 lbs.
The only plus for Loma in this fight is that he gets to fight for a belt to become unified champ. Thats it.
Why are we making copycat posts? I wrote about this back in January https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/lomachenko-wont-get-any-credit-after-defeating-lopez.643486/
