Garcia is too one dimensional. He can't hit on the inside. Size is definitely a factor but his defense was way too poor. His chin was very good but he was tagged so many times. Loma will get on the inside and win round after round. It wouldn't be close. I though Garcia's size would play a factor, but I'm just unconvinced. Garcia looks pudgy at 147, didn't look good at all at 140. 135 is more of his natural weight if he kept in shape, and even then he isn't huge. He isn't going to trick Loma with his basic punches. Don't see any problems for Loma against Garcia at 135/140.
Actually this fight is too easy to call, Mikey by mid round stoppage in a total mismatch of toughness, power and chin
Sound arguments, I'd like to see Garcia fight him weighing about 136, Loma is vulnerable at 140 pounds
I never saw Mikey before his hiatus but many have said that was his pomp.Had he not fought Spence at Welter I'd of called it even but he's not gonna come back from this imo. shame as Lomo has been there for the taking of late with his injury n all.
Don't judge it on the Spence fight he was just too big, Loma won't last more than 8 rounds against Spence, he went life and death against Linares ffs
Manny is a living legend and one of my all time favourite fighters but I think he's edging toward the cliff and will fall off soon. I'd hate to see him take the sort of career ending beating that Ali and many others took.
No matter how many times your wife/girlfriend tells that size doesn't matter, deep down (or not so deep) you know it does. Spence clearly outboxed Garcia, but it was with the help of a much longer reach, size and physical advantage. Lomachenko doesn't have that and despite everyone knowing he's the clearly superior boxer if they ever meet, there's that physical and reach disparity in favor of Garcia. If they meet at 135, I only slightly favor Lomachenko on points and if it's at 140 Garcia probably stops him. Lomachenko's best weight is at 130 and I think it's between 135 and 140 for Garcia.
