Haney would have no chance running and jabbing. Loma would have fun cutting the ring down and beating the crap out of him because Haney has no power to keep him honest. If Haney has a hope in hell he needs to bully Lomachenko. He is not weak either, he manhandled Linares on the inside.

Loma is excellent at wrestling his way out of a clinch but in raw strength stats Lopez was clearly much stronger. Even Commey was stronger. You could tell.

It would be a walk in the park. Haney can’t fight anything like Teo and he can’t throw punches with power. The punches that were landing on Teo would knock out Haney so I don’t know what blueprint you think you’re seeing.

I don’t think you can tell anything, Loma was clearly stronger than those guys and Haney is clearly a weakling.

Loma was not stronger than Lopez you're smoking crack. Clinchwork is what Loma excells at. But Lopez was clearly a much stronger man

As I said, I don’t think you can understand what you’re looking at. You’ve said that Haney was stronger than Linares and Teo was stronger than Loma. Point me to moments in those fights that demonstrate that. You seem to be confusing lunging in an attempt to tie up (Haney and Teo) with strength. Haney looked like a complete weakling against Linares in every way, and the only time Teo would show any sign of strength was when he’d lunge in to lean and push Lomachenko back. When both him and Loma wrestled it was always Loma getting on top and backing him up out of the wrestle. The second half of that fight was Teo desperately and unsuccessfully trying to keep Lomachenko off him.

Not once did Loma back him up out of a wrestle unless the referee told them to break.

I have watched the entire fight several times and i remember that Lopez was physically stronger which should be a no brainer given who's the bigger man. Lomachenko is not a natural lightweight.

    • Haney also manhandled Linares in the clinches even before Linares hurt him. He was clearly the stronger man. Watch the fight yourself it's a waste of time to give a timestamp for every clinch to prove my point further

This is not to say Haney would beat Loma.

He probably wouldn't, but he is bigger, probably stronger, and he wouldn't have a hope in hell trying to box him, so he should bully him if he wants to have any chance at winning

    That's the truth.

Lomachenko will just never be what so many of you want him to be, ya'll. Peace.

If all the top guys at 135 start fighting each other, Loma would be the one standing at the end with all the belts. The only guy who can give him a tough fight is Shakur when he moves up

If Haney beats Loma, it will put an end to this "loma is GOAT" bs.

People hyped loma far too early.

Loma is an excellent fighter with beautiful footwork and skills, but Haney is NOOO slouch and he's the much younger and naturally bigger fighter. Tough call really but I don't see either man dominating the other at all

I think Loma would be the favorite, but this would be a competitive fight. Loma fans just cannot accept that he is merely a great fighter. He has to be something more than that, even though his career speaks to the contrary.

Just be happy there are potentially excellent late career fights for Loma, whenever he returns.
