I think they are very similar footwork wise and the angles of punches they throw. Key differences are... Manny is more explosive and a bit faster, Lomachenko has more defensive awareness.

Lomachenko's movement and footwork is in a different league, and his defense. I was just thinking about the comparison between them and it's amazing to think that PAC is considered a pound for pound fighter when you compare him to Lomachenko.

  3. They both are great at ducking and using the ackward angle to throw good combination punches. I think Loma is more accurate with his punches but Manny is stronger.

He may have greater footwork, but Pac also has great footwork too and their hop to the right is near identical.

Nah, I don't think they're all that similar.

How many other southpaws fight with the angles they do?

I think Pacs footwork is ordinary, he is too predictable with his little bounce and usually comes in straight lines. Couldn't cut off the ring if his life depended on it. I think PAC is one of the least skilled pound for pound fighters there has ever been.

They are both southpaw and sometimes throw punches from strange angles that's where the similarities end IMO.

Yeah. they have vast differences too.

But the handspeed, angles, head movement, footwork, especially that step... look very similar.

I agree Lomachenko is actually more skilled, he has better punch variety, defence, and footwork.

I wonder if it's enough to give him a career as good as Pac's which is largely down to his insane athleticism.

You mean underrated. He's got one of the best timing and feints to set-up his shots.

Loma, I like him but he's not close to Paquiao. What did Loma do vs a stationary target? Break his hand and jump around all night. What did pac do to stationary guys like Rios and the turtle... wats his oh yea Clottey? He pounded them senseless for 12.

PAC is not as athletic as Lomo but hits harder. Pretty impressive by Lomo to dominate with one hand. He actually had better rounds in round 7 and round 8 after he wrecked his hand than in six when he was two fisted. He has weird talent.
