Loma fought the first 6-7 rounds of that fight like the AT&T guy in the commercial who wants to kick Carly out.

“I’m just, like, warming up to those speeds.”

    Nope.

If he was so much about money, he stayed in one weight class division, after had get tittles, did long row with tittle defenses vs bums.
Then fans had beens statisfied more: some row with fights ended via KOs.
Ppl like this. KOs in row. Impressively looking KOs.

Yeah, because not throwing a meaningful punch for 6 consecutive rounds is a key to victory. He deserves to lose on that alone.
I don't know what the deal was that night, but he gave that fight away. He did have his moments, but not enough for me to give him the win.

    Even better.

I agree that he should had deliver to Salido low blows and preferably also elbows, headbutts and kicks.
It might be more watchable and if he had turned this fight into MMA he had get more respect from U.S public.

I scored the bout 6 rounds apiece.

    I could accept a 7 - 5 for Lopez.

But I understand, from looking at the judges scores, why Loma might feel the fix was in.

    Weisfeld's 9-3 score was a joke.
And what are we to make of Ledeman's 11-1 score ?

A draw was certainly a more reasonable take from the fight than either of these scores.

When you have scores that are so off-base, it raises questions about the whole judging process.

A bit reminiscent of Byrd's score of 10-2 for Canelo in his first fight with GGG, a fight he pretty clearly lost.

Big Loma fan but he got beat fair & square, you can't give away the first 6 rounds by doing nothing & expect to win the fight.

Another person who spent a career on their high horse about competing for honor and glory calling foul as soon as something doesn't go his way. Typical, run of the mill sore loser.

I mean, he got only 3 rounds on one card and a single round on another, in a fight he feels he won.

I wouldn't say he dominated the second half. He edged some rounds and he won some convincingly. The 12th round Lopez was landing power shots at will. Good evenly matched scrap
