This is no trivial matter and you make an excellent point. Properly protect the midsection. Forget the ego and bring the protector up above the belly button.

2 inches is conservative. Standing side by side, Campbell is taller by at least 3 inches.

Fighting taller and longer fighters takes a lot more effort. Fighters have to get inside or at the very least mid-range to land punches. Lomachenko will feast on Tank, who doesn't have the kind of advantages that presents problems for Loma.

Linares didn’t look that much taller than Loma and he’s 5’8 so boxers is about right. If Loma is 5’4 then tank is 5’2.

Height and reach is very troublesome for certain styles. Tank has a chance but I don’t see it, I think it becomes a clinic for Loma.

It’s like how floyd struggled first few rounds for McGregor because he didn’t know how to deal with that height and reach, floyd was reaching and missing and getting countered with uppercuts. Floyd don’t know how to walk down opponents and he sure as hell cant should roll a punch coming from above. But of course McGregor sucks and had 0 stamina so you saw the game floyd played. Had McGregor been kenshin whatever that Japanese kids name height, floyd would have done his usual pull counters.

Loma controls distance very well, which is why he was so effective vs Rigo. Wasn’t really size, it was height and reach, both distance control type guys but one is much taller and longer, funny that, tank is only an inch taller than Rigo.

Don't think anybody at 135 will really test him. Mikey if he drops back down obviously the exception. Then, who, I actually fancy Rances Barthelemy vs. Lomo as a great fight (though decent risk/no reward so clearly will never happen). Barthelemy underrated.

Some absolutely splendiferous footage of Loma vs Cool Hand Luke here and some class editing too in this Matchroom Boxing production. It's minus commentary so you can really hear the weight of the shots sinking in (during the parts where there's a break in the music) and see the fight from different angles where shots you probably thought landed clean were blocked or vice versa. A little bit of pre-fight backstage footage included as well.

Timestamped for the start of the Loma vs Campbell footage but there's also footage from the other fights on the card too

I wish I could watch the whole fight like this

Does tank hit that much harder than Linares? Could tank beat Linares? Of course anyone can beat Linares If Linares skin falls off but barrring that.

And Loma is clearly 5’7, you can see him sparring with t j dillashaw who is suppose to be 5’6 and Loma looks at least a couple of inches taller than him

Imagine what Tank will do!! Explains why Loma will drop to 130 when Tank decides to move up to 135.
