What the fight showed was that Russell is a hype and Loma is still an amateur.
My post was correct in that he cannot fight off the backfoot. Only problem was that Russell failed to exploit it due to his poor footwork.:yep

    You silly man.

You think Loma hasn't fought against numerous pressure fighters in his amateur career? put your boy Rigondeaux in with him and watch him get stopped. He wouldn't even take the fight, he'd turn all mayweather/stevenson and duck Loma.

Salido a poor man's version of Glenn Johnson? :patsch  You're joking, right? Salido if anything was a step ABOVE Johnson. He could box very well at times like he did with Marquez and could go to war with just about anyone, just look what he did with unbeaten Juanma. Loma put on a clinic on a talented, but unproven GRJr. What was supposed to be competitive it wasn't even that. Loma probably has best footwork in the game. Loma couldn't handle Salidos pressure, not many fighters can.

Didn't you say how impressed you'd be if Loma managed to beat Russell Jr? But now that he beats him, Russell's hype, weak.

I thought he did made ajustments in the second half of the fight and almost pulled it off by the end.
