WTF. I read on the Scene that Salido has agreed to financial terms and the deal is agreed on principle.
What sort of prime wasting fight is this?!
Edit - turns out this fight is an option if Salido2 falls through. It should not be an option at all. Just give fighters better money.

    I hope not.

That's a second division he will have left then without clearing it out. Why's he in such a rush to move up? There are a plethora of big fights at 126 and 130 available.

Beltrans not bad though considering he was badly jobbed against Burns, destroyed Ao & beat the WBC number one lightweight contender Lundy. I'd prefer Salido to him though but even then id prefer a rival champion or a move up to a LW champion over Salido.

Meh, it's not awful but there are so many more interesting fights. Hopefully the Salido fight is still the likeliest option

Why not? 130 no one is in a rush to fight him. If there were willing participants and guaranteed fights he should def stay, if he goes to 135 and wins 3 titles against bigger guys like easter jr, linares, mikey, that does wonders for his career.

I don't want to see the Salido rematch anyways, hes had like one win in the past 3 years. He's a waste of time unless it's for redemption and he doesn't even get much since Salido is not the same guy.

?? He beat Martinez very clearly both times but was completely robbed (the term gets thrown around a lot these days unjustifiably), had a draw with a then-prime Francisco Vargas. This is some of his career best work.

My concern is that at age 29, going from 126 to 130 and entertaining 135 - three weight classes simultaneously is not going to be so kind to his body.
Loma tried his best to make the Rigo fight...Rigo bounced out calling for a 124lb catchweight despite originally agreeing to 126 and rehydration clause. Rigo is just a fake, using Loma's name.

The second fight he got robbed, the first fight Martinez won. If you thought the first fight was a "robbery", a fight where you couldn't score it for Martinez, talking to you is pointless. I know you're a huge Loma nuthugger, so you're going to score for Salido in a biased way since he ebat Loma. I had Vargas clearly edging a close fight. And Vargas just got bodied HARD by Berchelt. Vargas was also coming off a fight where he nearly died against Miura. Also let's not forget to mention Salido is 36 now, coming off 3 more wars.

Also didn't Salido just get dropped by a bum? You really are desperate to credit Loma for a win against this old shot Salido, who has a loss, 2 draws(1 I thought was a robbery, 1 I thought he clearly lost in a close fight), and a fight against a journeyman where he got KD.
