Beltran is a good fight. He's a huge 135 pounder.

This is a good fight. I don't know why people are complaining. Beltran is far bigger than Loma. Loma still is the massive favorite, but it's not a bad fight at all, especially for a first fight at 135. Beltran also brings that non-stop pressure.

Trying to understand the logic of that given 133 is closer to Loma's desired weight of 130. He either doesn't like catchweight fights to the extent that he'd prefer a 2lb weight disadvantage - or he really wants a fight at 135, or he's just secured a fight with Salido and wanted to turn down the Beltran fight altogether.

This thread is just spreading bs. The article only says that Lomachenko-Beltran was being considered as an option if Lomachenko-Salido isn't completed. Loma-Salido is most likely happening, and the financial terms are agreed on.

At the end of the day Loma can't get people in the ring at 130 so the Salido fight is whatever, but it doesn't enhance his career in the slightest. I'm not going to condemn him for taking this fight, but it doesn't add anything either. I actually hope Salido bitches out, so Loma can be in more meaningful fights.

I think Arum has been looking fast for an opponent, since Salido wanted more money and they are talking with several boxers as Arum wont pull off the August 5 date and only left one month and a half.
So now they might offer more money to Salido

Its solely for redemption. People/critics wanted him to erase this defeat. Hes now doing it. Salido is gonna get stopped. If the last fight had gone another round Salido imo would've been stopped. I hope hes getting well paid, because its gonna hurt this time a lot sooner. Loma is gonna want to beat him emphatically

Partly because I want to see him slap Gervonta Davis around before he moves.

Beating a guy who is like 1-1-2 in his last 4 fights, and is 36 does not erase the defeat. It's unfortunate but Salido did not give Loma the opportunity to truly redeem himself.

Tank's style won't fare well against Loma imo, definitely will be rooting for him if they fight though. Now Tank vs Loma 4 years down the line would be a great fight.

I'm shocked Siri's giving him that opportunity at all. They must've paid him well for this. He relished being able to hold that win over Loma's head, regardless of the BS surrounding it.

As did some of the irrational Loma haters, and they're the primary reason you're seeing this rematch in the first place. They wouldn't shut up about it. They're moving the goalposts now and saying it's worthless, but they kept interest in this fight alive and made it much more viable than it ought to be. If it didn't happen, they'd still complain.

Loma would rather move forward as much as you and many others would like. He's annoyed by it. He'd have won if the rematch happened the next day, let alone as far down the road as this. Logical fans know it. But that's not who got this fight made.

That fight is unavoidable. . Davis won't make 130 for long.

I totally agree, it should've happened sooner.
