@Rumsfeld well done man, I think Loma’s footwork will be the difference. He is going to give López angles he hasn’t seen before. I think López is going to have a hard time finding Loma, he’s just too good to get hit consistently, Lopez will gas and might get stopped. I respect López and I believe he’s a really good fighter but not sure he’s equipped to pin Loma down and land constantly.

Lopez is game and has a major size advantage but I don’t see this fight going his way. Loma is levels above him and is so disciplined and mentally strong. Barring any early round mistakes or rust from Loma, this will be a one sided fight with a possible no mas ending in favor of Loma. Teo is a head case and will unravel by the end.

Lomachenko’s insane amateur pedigree set him up for these no win situations.

Lomachenko is expected to win and if he does it’s just business as usual and everyone will say Lopez was too green, this was too soon etc. If he loses at this stage in his career however some might think het got old overnight.

That time spent at amateur also took time away from his professional career. Soon he will be on the wrong side of thirty.

I lived through the exciting times of both prime Tyson and Jones jr. but never imagined anything like Loma.

I think it'll be somewhat close in the first half, with Loma pulling away to a pretty wide win.

    Good video.

Love how you dropped "WBA super duper champion "

Got a chuckle out of that.

Kind of why my earlier post I think this will play out like a Calzaghe/Lacy type of event. I think Lopez is really good, and if Loma just outclasses him I hope Lopez does not go backwards the way Lacy did. I look forward to watching Lopez in the years to come he is a talent but something is telling me Loma is going to chew him up.

Great roundup by Rumsfeld, as always. I tend to agree with the summary and would add one thing: the guys that had some success with Loma had excellent handspeed like Linares. While I think Lopez hits harder than Linares, his handspeed is much slower. He also doesn't seem to be the lightest guy on his feet. He seems a candidate to get outmaneuvered and outboxed.

I knew someone would bring overrated Linares into this. Yeah, he has sweet handspeed. But that's bout it. He has been KTFO 4 times. Linares stays upright too predictable. No herky jerky movements, feints or jab to the body and head at all. Same with Campbell. Uprights lacks athleticism. I feel that's why Loma can do as he please because he has someone that does everything the same all the time.

Teofimo will be changing levels, moving in and out and if need be go inside. Loma wont just have a guy that stays upright or too predicatable. If he walks him down. If he do then he a freak. But I see a close fight. But my mind pick Loma UD. Heart says, TKO by TEO 9.Possibly KO 5. Because Teo is younger, hungry and bigger puncher than anyone Loma has faced.

Fair points however Lopez seems even more basic. I feel Loma had some problems with Linares' handspeed and Lopez is simply not that fast. Lopez looks more powerful to me, but if I were facing Loma I want speed, not power.
I agree Loma won't just be able to walk TL down. In fact, if Lopez can find a way to land his power then Lomachenko will be in trouble. I think that Loma won't let him get set though.

I would say, Linare has quicker hand speed in combination. But Teo quick one punch is probably on par with Linares. But the thing that i like about Lopez he stings that jab out and does different things than just stay up right and follow loma around the ring. He will be doing the philly shell, feinting, jabbing the bread basket and lining him up with a hook or right hand which is a lot harder than linares shots. One crucial thing you missed in you analysis is Linares has a poor gas tank and horrible chin. So, I haven't break down Teo mid rounds to later rounds out puts but he still packs a punch late on. So...he carries his power mid to late rounds. So this is a dangerous fight IMO.

Linares considerably more experienced than Lopez.
chin was not stuff that failed him. V.S Loma, like vs Inoue body punching too should be considered. They are dangerous body punchers.

they both does have good gas tank, but if there liver punch properly landed, then it does not helps much.
each from them both might achieve stoppage with body blow for example.
teo and loma both does have good gas tanks.

The only thing I hold against Loma is his lack of urgency for the Salido rematch, fighting Berchelt when he was at SFW, and again his lack of urgency to fight Mikey Garcia.

I also don't like that he said he would never fight Manny Pacquiao, even at 140.

Lopez. Younger, faster, harder puncher bigger, stronger. What else. He wins inside the distance.
