Why wouldn't he risk him?

1) Donaire was a very popular cash cow for Arum. Loma isn't.

2) It's not like he's got an unbeaten record to "protect"

3) Fighting Gary Russell in your third fight when you're only 1-1 takes massive balls from all parties involved, because a loss there sets Loma back years. Fighting Mikey presents the risk of a loss, but nobody sane is going to bury him if he loses to a bigger P4P fighter.

4) Donaire fought a high level of comp- the story that he avoided good/dangerous fighters until Rigo is pure fiction.

Lomachenko beat Salido in his second fight, but was cheated by Lawrence Cole, the worst referee in boxing history and the most crooked. He would never have been a referee if his father had not been the boxing commissioner.............the judges were also crooks, hitting after the bell all night, hitting one low blow after another, hitting behind the head, headbutting, holding, Lomachenko had Salido out on his feet at the end. Salido needs to get the balls to fight Lomachenko in a rematch, but he knows he would have no chance......................Lomachenko is undefeated. I think he would beat Mikey, he might be smaller, but his skill level is way above...............

Mikey can, but he is actually tying himself to showtime to flex a power over Arum. I can understand his desire to do this, but not if it prevents the fight.

 

I think he is right, i also wasn't that impressed by Garcia, he did a good job but i don't think he is top 5 p4p, to be honest i struggle to see him in the top 10.

 

That assumes that Chenko learned nothing and is the identical fighter he was when he lost to Salido.

 

Both are exceptional fighters with Garcia holding an edge in both power and size and Loma having the speed and technical advantages. It's makes for an absolutely fascinating match-up and I can envision scenarios in which either fighter could emerge victorious. A true pick'em fight for the ages.

 

I'm a big Garcia fan, but that's crazy talk about Loma's resume. Loma has a great resume. Some of the guys he beat would still be undefeated right now, like Gary Russell and the Nick Walters.

He ended those hype trains, but at least Russell is still a great fighter. Not sure how the Axe Man will come back.

Yeah, but at the same time, it looked like Salido was coming on strong against Mikey and possibly on his way to knocking Mikey down.

In contrast, Loma was coming on strong in his fight against Salido. Either way, I don't think it has any relevance on how the fight would play out against Loma vs Mikey. Mikey might have heavier hands than Loma, which makes it easier to fight against guys like Salido who want to come forward.

With that said, Salido's right hand left uppercut, right hand combination is fire. Salido has more skill than he's given credit for and his record reflects that.

 

Another thing is Broner hasn't really learned anything. Broner has a powerful left hook and he's tough as nails, but he doesn't know how to come forward. He doesn't have good footwork, and when he's against the ropes he is vulnerable.

Also, aside from Broner's left hook, pretty much all his other punches are terrible as far as technique is concerned. With that said, Garcia went out there and dominated him, but Lomo's opposition has been better thus far.

With that said, Garcia is one of the top fighters in boxing, but if he had the choice between Lomo and Crawford, he should probably pick Lomo because Lomo is at least smaller, so he probably has a better chance against him unless I'm underestimating Lomo.

With Crawford, Crawford hits harder, is faster, bigger, stronger, fights out of two stances. I think the odds would be in favor of Crawford by a wider margin than they would be for Lomo, assuming the odds would be in favor of Lomo in the first place, which they may not be.
