I’m a lifelong boxing fan and was fortunate to see most of the greats fight on live TV or in person. Loma will go down as my favorite fighter of all time. A first class guy and true professional (and great amateur). I wish him a long healthy life in retirement but I will miss watching him fight.

In a sport polluted by corruption, divas and loud mouth punks, Loma brought class and professionalism to the fight game at the amateur and professional level. Congrats champ on a great career.

    Maybe.

But Loma would've slapped the sh*t out of your boy Berchelt.

Sorry, your post here was forgotten about the moment I started reading it. And quoting a bible verse means next to nothing to me as Christianity is the poster of the hypocritical irony that you started this post with, but this isn't a platform to discuss the B.S. of that subject.

Claiming this era belongs to Usyk over anyone else of this era is as ignorant of a statement as any. But I'll let you live with that ignorance on your own. Nothing I say will fix that. So to that..... enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Clenelo fans talking about other fighters being privileged

If Loma had Clenelo's judges he has 0 losses and he should only have 1 as it is. Clenelo should have at least 5 or 6

Sure Loma fought for a world title in his 2nd fight but he's the GOAT amateur and he fought for one belt not for 2, 3 or 4

Leon Spinks was a one time, one weight Olympic gold medalist and he ought for for the richest prize in sports in just his 8th fight vs Ali, the WBC, WBA and Ring title

The reason Loma was given another shot in his next fight is because those criminal scumbags, headed by the most corrupt ref in the game Lawrence Cole, robbed and cheated him out of making history in his first world title opportunity when that filthy dirty cheating cue ball head PED cheat Salido deliberately missed weight, came in 2.5lbs heavier, blew all the way up to 147, 11lbs heavier than Loma, and fouled the Jesus out of him from 1st to last bell for which he should've 100% been DQ'd.

But they didn't even deduct a point from him for over 50 low blows, over a third of his total punch connects, and somehow they still managed to score the fight for him despite getting outlanded by 22 punches and Loma's were all legal shots. If you could learn to play fair a 2nd title shot wouldn't have even been needed

There's no arguably about it and all of his losses came against fighters who weighed between 2-4 divisions more than him and 2 of them in a division which was the 1st weight class for his opponents, 1st turning pro in their teens, and what would be at least his 6th had he turned pro at the same age

Indeed. There's something very wrong with these people. He literally embodies everything right and great about the sport and he should be the fastest one weight champ, fastest two weight champ, fastest three weight champ, and the undisputed 135 champion and would be without corruption

Most boxers get endless excuses for their losses, this privilege is never forwarded to Loma.

Overrated guy. He can box though he's not half as good as this forum (and himself) think he is.

I wont specially miss him, tbh.

The whole career was a tragedy really

loma absolutely beat Salido and Haney and neither was very close . They absolutely screwed him with laughable decisions . For what reason I do not know , salido and Haney are B sides who draw nothing .

Haney is given a gift decision after getting his ears boxed off … and then leaves the division and get pounded out by Ryan Garcia at 140. Had the correct decision have been given to loma we 100% get a fight with Shakur.

Mikey Garcia shamelessly ducking Loma… and instead of losing to the smaller man, Garcia offered himself up as a sacrificial lamb to get beaten like a dog by Spence. What a gigantic lightweight unification of all the belts that would have been .

But Loma made terrible decisions as well- Getting in the ring with Lopez with a torn shoulder was always dumb. Should have listened to papa chenko on that one and cancelled the fight . The decision was a killer.

choosing to go back to Ukraine and join the odessa territorial defense force (where there was no fighting, just playing solider) was a dagger in his career. Cost him all the belts against Kambosos .

the biggest “what if” career I have ever witnessed

Not taking the fight against George was the dumbest decision I’ve ever seen. I don’t know who allowed him to make that decision, but he literally could’ve fought George and then played soldier in the Ukraine. Two birds, one stone.
