New interview. He says that Mikey didn't try to win (agreed), says that he is lifting more weights in preparation for this upcoming fight (good idea, to make him a stronger 135).

    Hes not wrong

    Horrible performance

He took no risks he fought to survive

Anyway Loma vs Mikey is 50/50

Loma may school him outbox him

    Mikey may KO him

What makes you think that Mikey knocking him out is as likely as Loma outboxing him? There's been plenty of sub par opposition that Mikey couldn't hurt. What makes you think he would hurt Lomachenko, and what makes you think he could finish the job when Lomachenko is as skilled defensively as he is? Do you envision a one punch out cold knockout? When has Mikey shown that (other than Zlat, who wasn't even looking and was already hurt on his feet)? That extremely unlikely outcome has a 50% chance of happening in your mind? That sounds very illogical to me.

Linares dropped him and Mikey has better timing. That said, Linares is arguably better offensively so who knows.

I do see Loma just embarrassing him though. Mikey too methodical and slow to catch up with Loma.

Salido beat both of them like $2 whores on Figueroa on a Friday night. What makes any of you think they both are any good if a over the hill slugger put the beats on both fighters you fools are praising?

Martinez dropped Garcia, and I also think that has no relevance to anything. Linares is fast and Lomachenko got careless, Lomachenko wasn't seriously hurt and he showed his composure. As you say, Mikey is just too slow. And too textbook. I don't think timing is going to help anything against Lomachenko, you need surprise, speed and something a bit unorthodox. That's why Mariaga had some success against Loma. Mikey is just made for Lomachenko to showcase against.

I agree with you, same time, Loma has never fought anyone as big as Mikey (bar salido) who hits as hard and has as good a timing.

Unorthodox burst, mindless boxing is what will get Loma, kinda like Maidana did for Floyd. But if Mikey catches Loma clean with a monster right, it might be good night.

I just don't see that as a realistic possibility with Mikey being that slow and orthodox. I actually think Mikey will get beaten worse than against Spence. If a big guy like that could outspeed and outskill him to that extent then he's going to get circles boxed around him by Lomachenko. I viewed Mikey as a prospect because he hadn't fought anyone before Spence, I think we've seen his level now. People excuse him because of the size but I didn't see that playing a factor. I was ridiculed for saying that Pedraza was a tougher match up than Garcia, I still stand that by that 100%. Styles are everything.
I hope we see the fight, I don't see what else Mikey has other than that Lomachenko fight.

I hope Loma "no mas's" Mikey next. Mikey talked all that crap about Spence and convinced us that he "saw something" in Spence or holes in Spences defense or offense :ohno Loma can restore us boxing fans' faith in the sport again and wouldn't put on the type of lackluster performance Mikey gave us. Loma knows how to put on a good show

If Mikey can take a prolonged beating from Spence, he’s not going to No Mas against Loma, he has a good chance of winning that fight.

I can’t see anything other than a Loma win. If I’m being honest I think he beats him quite easily.

Since when has being a boxing bag been a positive attribute? Mikey said he was a bit better than Spence at everything, he showed he was worse at everything. He got outboxed by a guy who isn’t the boxer Lomachenko is.
You feel encouraged being able to withstand a beating from a bigger guy. You feel discouraged when you’re getting styled on and hurt by a smaller guy. People are looking at this all wrong, Lomachenko will make him quit. Mikey quit against Salido and he quit against Spence (by just showing up to survive). If anybody is going to quit against a guy who is known for making fighters quit, it is Mikey. It’s not a competitive fight.

Mikey has a lot more advantages at 135 than at 147, while I would favour Lomachenko to say he would dominate him is a bit too far for me, but to each their own.

It's very possible and maybe even probable, he is SIGNIFICANTLY bigger than Loma, is an excellent counter puncher with elite timing amd accuracy, very good footwork, excellent punch Arsenal and has proven to be an absolute banger in the lower weight classes.

Why do you think Lomachenko said no to GrandPac? GrandPac still carrying serious pop, too.
