What would enhance Manny's legacy more—KOing Lomachenko at 135/138/140 or defeating one of the Top 40 welters?

    Considerations
    • Loma is seen as the consensus #1 fighter by many
    • Loma is a generational talent
    • The Top 5 Welters are much bigger, much younger dudes
    • Manny is ancient

Pac Man's legacy is already solidified as one the greatest fighters in history. The guy is 40 years old... He has done enough already.

Depending on WHICH WW he beats, I think that does more for him. Specifically if it's Thurman, Crawford, or Porter. WW is where's he's been for a while now.

But Loma is just too small at this point. Fact of the matter is, the gap between the two is too great to allow BOTH to come in at their best condition possible.

Loma-pac matchup is more of a fantasy matchup at least till loma moves up. But even then loma will just be another champ in pac's resume while pac would be loma's biggest(not necessarily the best) name on his ledger

Nothing is gonna boost his legacy anymore than it already is, Loma or no Loma. And besides, Loma doesn't want the fight so its a moot point.

Top 5 Welter. Loma is not a welter plain and simple, he's not really even a lightweight. Besides, as the poster above me said, Pacquiao's legacy is secured, Loma or no Loma he's a great.
