Both looking to fight in November. Egis is running.

Salido's case for a bigger purse:
Back-to-back 'Fight of the Year' fights
Clearly is the bigger $$ maker based on sales
Had an even fight with a very good fighter in Francisco Vargas.
    Salido OFFICIALLY BEAT Lomachenko

Klimas's puerile response paraphrased (my response in italic)-

Lomachenko is so sure he'll win, let's cut a deal.

Well Klimas, no matter what, Lomachenko has a big fat official L against Salido and he's yet to prove he can convincingly beat a big stylistic threat like Salido in the pros - the other belt holders are EASY WORK.

Appeal to plastic cereal box belts:

Both are lame, the real champ of the division is Jezreel Corrales, neither of these plastic toy belt holders. Salido having a WBC title or not doesn't change the fact that he's the bigger draw than the unknown Lomachenko

Fair enough, but you're not selling us a Jason Sosa fight. Lomachenko has TBE qualities, we want great opposition.

    ..scene it.

    Back in the day:
    Vasyl Lomachenko @vasyllomachenko
@RigoElChacal305 Let's fight not for money but for the right to be a real champion

They want to pay Salido peanuts as usual.
Dude has been in like every FOTY and popped Loma's sweet red cherry already... Pay the MF'er already the Vet wants to ca$h out. (He deserves it)

What the **** is he on about? This rematch isn't for Salido, Salido already beat him and it's not like he's trying to kickstart his career. Lomachenko needs Salido though just to erase that loss and get his revenge.

Saying Loma is a protected fighter is worth an IP ban.

If he is, so is every other fighter that's ever lived.

Give it a rest, they're just trying to get away with paying Siri less money, the fight'll probably eventually happen.

Salido needed a corrupt/inept ref to beat a 1 fight novice by the skin of his teeth. Loma would destroy him in a rematch.

Sounds a lot like they don't want it

    I don't blame them though

Team Loma still wake up in the middle of the night crying asking themselves what went wrong

"How could this be, We cherry picked him at the right time.

They told us he was shot

    I just don't understand"

I'm not surprised one bit. Salido is coming off a loss. Promoters are so greedy this day in age that they'll look for any reason to pay the fighters less. All they see is that loss and his record and think he's worth peanuts.

Exactly, Salido doesn't need Lomachenko (who can't sell out even small crowds yet...understandably).

Hiding behind the plastic toy belt collection argument is truly pathetic. I thought Lomachenko stopped caring about it if it prevents him from getting the biggest fights..

He's coming off a draw against a top fighter in Vargas...more people had him winning the fight than losing, I had it 7-5 Salido.

..I'nm not saying that, but they're lowballing Salido...and for what reason exactly? Lomachenko certainly doesn't deserve even a quarter of Lomachenko's purse if we're talking real here.

Exactly. Lomachenko is quite simply a paycheck and nothing more to Salido, give the man what he wants, his legacy is not going to be tainted by a loss.

Who cares? We all know Loma would beat Salido in the rematch - all the more reason to give Salido a little more. Salido got the official decision and quite frankly deserved it (he took advantage of the ref's incompetence successfully..and Lomachenko himself offered no resistance in the meantime)
....'Skin of his teeth'? That isn't because Lomachenko 'adapted', it's because Salido gassed out, allowing Loma to come back into the fight.

Yes, but that doesn't help. How is a Promoter going to promote a fight against a guy who's last 3 fights were a loss and two draws. That's the kind of thing Promoters and networks look at when determining purses.

At the end of the day, the fans and Salido think he's worth more than the promoter and network does and convincing the ones in charge otherwise would more than likely require Salido getting a good win or two under his belt.
