I'm not upset about anything. I just think the idea that Loma deserves more money is a bit strange.

I want to see the rematch, after Vargas and Salido have rematched.

 

why should they over-pay someone who not only failed to make weight legally, but also allowed 20-odd lowblows with the acceptance of the idiot referee?

 

Lomachenko is going to continue having this problem because he's been getting paid like an A-side fighter while bringing in poor ratings and gates. I thought Walters was absolutely full of **** when he turned him down but Klimas sounds disingenuous as hell here and Salido and his manager have made the far more cogent points.

 

Let's not forget that he also has that dubious drugs record. The guy is a total ***** and now people are saying he should be rewarded for it.

 

Don't forget Salida intentionally cheated and came in well overweight. Crooked ref and still barely won. That is about as tainted win as you can have.

 

I assumed it was much less, but the offer made to Salido was 500,000. Is that really insulting? Has Salido made more than that before? Lomachenko was paid 850,000 for the Martinez fight, to 425,000 for Martinez. If Loma gets the same for Salido, the purses seem about right to me.

Its not that people on here are cheering for Salido. Their just being objective. You can be a boxing fan and comment on a situation without having to be a fanboy. Although there seems to be an awful lot of posters on this board nowadays who lash out against other fighters because their favorite fighters are not getting their way.

Loma is not a draw and he is the one chasing the fight. If he wants it he will pay for it. Salido might be a POS but he isn't a fool.
