Loma wouldve won if the rematch happened the next day. Siri won due to a unique set of circumstances he knew damn well wouldn't repeat itself, which is why he put off agreeing to the rematch this long. No version of him would beat the current Loma.
Even tho he was on a winning streak prior, he was in his prime alil after the Marquez fight. Salido had underrated boxing ability and was able to hang with Marquez, but Marquez seemed one step ahead. 2005-2010 was prime Salido. Salido gave Gamboa hell, but was supposed to be a measuring stick for Juanma, nothing more. Salido started getting abit sloppier from this point on, but he was like Hopkins, where his best victories came late in his career. Doesn't have to be in his prime. He's still too much too handle for most, he is 36 after all.
Hard to say because so much of his gameplan is based around experience and anticipation. Shame he'll only likely be remembered as the man who beat Loma now. He'd give any FW hell
Great fight for Lomachenko to take here... This ain't the same Salido that fought Gamboa and Juanma. He's still got game, but not quite the same. I expect Loma will take home the big win in this one.
Arum saying any fight "is going to happen over the summer" is not the same as a fight being "set," by the way.
