I expect to conclude negotiations with Teofimo shortly. Lomachenko is voluntarily reducing his purse in order to get this fight done. We never cut anybody below their minimums, ever. That figure that you’ve seen posted, ‘Loma getting $3.5 million,’ that isn’t very far from the truth."

    But how much less?

    I can't see Lomachenko giving up more than $100,000 — $150,000...

Fimo needs to stop being a ****.

    Good on Loma.
Always wondered why some of the cash cows don't do this.

Lomas 3.5 would be a career high. Lomas purse would be about 3 times as much for Lopez. Thars like a 75 25 split. Wonder how much more he is expecting. 500k?

It is very good for Loma if he is actually willingly to cut his purse to make the fight. This, of course, will add to his reputation and image. And it'll give him extra motivation to win.

For Loma, defeating Lopez and snatch his IBF belt also will give him access to more advantage and negotiation power in the future.

I think Loma should cut $250k. Not more than that.

    UPDATE
Yup, the news is apparently true. Loma said it himself in his FB page. Great mentallity of a champion.

You gotta remember $10 in the US is like $100 over there. His family is already set for life.

Lol! Nice! Loma really wants to dismantle Lopez in front of his **** talking father. It will be fun to watch.

Loma gets him out of there by the 7th.

shameful from Lopez, he then tweeted that "A man has to feed his family", it's a fair comment, only if his purse was 10k instead of 1.2mil.

Doesn't matter to some cash cows. Many US cash cows are also set for life but wouldn't make such a move. Loma is a gentleman

It's alright if Loma takes a slight cut to make this happen. If/when he wins he may be able to finally entice TEAM duck to allow a Tank/Loma bout to come to fruition. Loma would more than make up the loss in revenue from Loma/Lopez in a bout like that.

Loma is a boss, not letting Lopez wriggle out of it, calling his bluff, he'll look even more of a *** if he bitches out of a revised offer

If Loma does give up enough to make Teo accept, then I expect him to punish Teo for it. Loma is chilled out but I sometimes sense that there is a very cold and mean side when he gets in there with his opponents sometimes.
