There is no rules Isal, its subjective, when a boxer is great in both Amateurs and Pros he is great.

Oscar De La Hoya scored Gold and ATG, Felix Trinidad was very jealous of Gold medalists he went after them and bragged about beating 3 Gold medalists, having the Olympic Gold medal counts and it helps sometimes (bias confirmation), but its true Gold medalists get top notch matchmaking and all the advantages. Some No-medal pros get lucky and get the angel-protector promoter who takes them from the dirty rough rings to to the top of the world...but those are very few cases in boxing history

Lol flat out wrong on 2 counts. Beating lopez would not make him undisputed and would not cement an all time great legacy. An all time great has a win against a great fighter or a long string of wins against very good/borderline great fighters. Loma has neither

His accomplishments speak for themselves, and are impressive regardless of your uninformed opinion. HIs record in title fights is very impressive, even if you desire some mainstream name you need for your phony baloney criteria.

What pro ATG has had his amateur career considered when ranking him in the top 100? None. Why, because AM Boxing have their own ranking, and their own history.

Ali, Foreman, SRL, Pernell Whitaker, DLH, Lennox Lewis (will not add more Gold medalists to avoid getting off the point), all these had the benefit of the Gold Medal. It helped shaped their pro-career, indirectly effecting their ATG ranking.

If they didn't have the Gold medal element, some of those will not be ATGs. Promoters believe in the Amateur achievements and invest into that, promoters, managers and matchmakers help the well-schooled boxer make the best of what he got, these resources become available for a Gold medalist more than a no-medal boxer, an Olympic Gold medal puts the boxer in a very small category that is disproportionately over-represented in the ATG top 100.

A no-medal boxer who makes it the hard way, is very impressive, but its very hard in an increasingly controlled environment. A no-medal boxer will fail the drug test and his win gets changed to NC or just never makes it on the record of the "Special one". If they get past that, they get ducked defamed, they hire a PR firm to say his gloves are loaded...etc

No one ever refers to those guys amateur careers to argue that they are all time greats it's not needed. If you need to use that in the argument then they didn't do enough as pros which is the only thing ultimately that matters

Loma has accomplished alot. Who cares about the belt drama. If he wins he is undisputed.

Boxing orgs are such a joke it is sincerely laughable. Just reading peoples attempts to explain the situation it sounds like a satire piece someone would write in attempt to exaggerate the state of the WBC in an attempt to highlight the mess.... but its not satire, it really is that much of a shitshow.

The idea that Loma needs to beat Haney to really be the WBC champ is ridiculous. Does he need to beat Gervonta or Moreno as well, to be the real WBA Champ!?!?

Good lord this board goes nuts sometimes...:confundio1::confundio1:
