The Loma team was approached by Bob Arum about a potential Manny Pacquiao fight. Arum was interested in making this fight. However, Lomachenko turned it down. He said he would receive no credit for beating an old man. And that he's not interested in fighting Manny Pacquiao right now. He says he's a big name fighter and a legend, but he's old.

    LMFAO.

What are your thoughts on this?

Good. I'm a Pacquaio fan though, so I want Pac to hang em up. He really shouldn't be fighting anymore.

He's on a downtrend while Loma is on an uptrend.

In this case, you wanna go long Loma and short Pacquaio.

Would he get credit though? Surely, he would, but you never know.

This forum is surprising to me.

Everyone called for the Rigo vs Loma fight. Even MMA fighters like McGregor were mocking Loma for not fighting Rigo.

Loma finally makes the fight and makes it look easy, and now people give him 0 credit even after EVERYONE including me was calling for the fight.

Loma has to know that Pac would be his biggest payday, so maybe there is some truth in this.

    I don't know the reason.

Man, i was looking forward to it. Would have opened a lot of doors for Loma.

Oh well, lets hope TR gets Loma a good opponent.

If you cut off a black mamba's head, the head is stays alive and will try to bite you. Manny Pacquiao is like a decapitated (old and shot ) black mamba. Lomachenko knows that there is a good possibility that Pac can beat him down and stop him.

I figured he would take the Pac fight especially since he could get alot of press from it, raise his profile and a good payday.

It makes a lot of sense from a business perspective, but I just can't support seeing Pac possibly getting beat down at this age.

We really don't know how good Loma is yet. He's been surprising us a lot.

That's like asking for Mayweather to come back in the sport and fight Errol Spence.

I think that's the wrong fight for Mayweather at this time at the age of 40, but even then, given Mayweather's style, I'd say Mayweather has a better shot of beating Spence than Pac has of beating Loma.

But you never know. Pac's one of my favorite fighters, but at damn near 40, I gotta be realistic too.

The difference with Spence and PBF and Loma Pac is that Pac is the bigger man in this fight and hits harder than Loma and PBF is the smaller man with Spence and doesn't hit as hard as Spence does. I also don't think Loma could hurt Pac to be honest but Spence could hurt PBF.

Pac almost knocked out Horn, who was young, huge, sturdy, and strong. Make no mistake... Pac can KO Loma.

I didn't like Lomachenko's camp's reasoning, frankly speaking. Because it can't be (as a good reason for not fighting him) both that Pac is too heavy and too old.

The truth is Loma himself was rather into this fight, but his dad said no.

So, they shouldn't have said that Pac is too old, and Loma would get no credit for beating him (bullsh*t! he would get credit because of the weight difference).

P.S. The fight was/is realistically possible at 140 only (and even that would be hard for MP to make).

Loma`s much harder to hit than Pac and Horn.

Spense would have destroyed Conor far worse than the 41 year old Floyd did, Mayweather`s body punching was good enough to wear down the longer bigger MMA man but Spense would throw even more body shots at that thin waist and man what a clever body puncher.

I'm glad Loma turned it down, he's actually looking at legacy.

I think Loma would be interested if Manny proved he could go down in weight safely by beating a solid name. Also if the fight is to be at 140 then Loma said a long time ago that he would give himself time to properly make 140 before fighting there. From 130-140 he said it could take a year to adjust.
