Loma actually wants the fight, but his dad advised against the weight jump out of concern.

If it was strictly about legacy, what was Marriaga? Sosa? Koasicha? Gamalier?

Old, shot, sem-retired. Pac would still be the BEST name on his resume. And most difficult fight to date.

 

Its a duck and a cherry. Its not in the advantage for either guy to fight each other. Manny can't drop that kind of weight at his age and Loma is not big enough for 140 at any point and he's pushing 30.
If he takes the fight then everyone above 140 and below will call him out afterwards. Manny is cherry picking and is afraid of Crawford.

 

Yeah i can see your point but he needs a fight like pac that will get him a big audience and alot of attention from the media. Fightng guys like rigo wont do that. Not taking the pac fight is a mistake imo. People calling this a duck are ridiculous and cant be taken seriously. loma would probably be the favorite in the fight.

 

He's right, though, people would call him a vulture and deride him for picking at the bones of a faded Pac that was already losing to ordinary guys like Horn.

 

I didn't see the appeal of that fight at all. At 147 it would be intriguing but draining an old timer coming off a loss is above Loma and he's right for walking away.

There's better fights at 130 & 135.

He Walters that Easter guy and Beltract will take it to the trenches before he'd ever tap out like the last few guys.
The real fight too make is Linares. I hope Bobby doesn't mess that up cos the Mikey fight will bever happen because of him.

Lomachenko should be salivating at the chance to fight Easter. He would definitely be the favorite, after two poor showings from Easter, and Easter looking more than a bit over rated.

 

You're right that Manny does not want to fight Crawford. However, at this point I don't really blame him as he is semi-shot, semi-retired, and would simply get a nasty beating.

He's done enough in his career to be allowed to finish off his career how he likes IMHO.

 

Yeah, I guess you're right. I keep thinking Loma is bigger than he is. Loma himself said the weight would be an issue, so I guess I gotta go with what he said. Still as a big time Pac fan, I think this fight would be fought on both guys because Pac would probably force Loma to have to fight.

Or I guess it could be a high skill battle like the Marquez fights, but even those fights, with the exception of the third had fire fights. Not really sure. I don't know, I just don't like to see these older guys with a lot of fights still fighting.

 

Make no mistake. Unless Crawford finishes Pacquaio early, Pacquaio can fight.
