Was shocked at that card, but i think I had it around 7-5 Lopez, could even go 8-4 possibly. I thought it would be too soon for Lopez but I guess not. Well done to the kid. Superb.

Yeah he was brilliant. He just stopped Loma in his tracks for the first 6 or 7.
People also questioned his heart but he bit down and really rocked Loma is round 12.

You don't just give rounds away.

Lopez got his respect early on and Loma didn't want to be in the danger zone, he didn't want to get layed out.

Yeah I think so too. I think the rematch would be the same, maybe more emphatic as Loma gets older and Lopez moves in to his prime. The only other option is to drop back down in weight? Can’t see it. Retirement pending.

Sincerely doubt Lomachenko is going to retire.

This fight reminded me of Garcia v Spence, although I expected Loma to win quite easily beforehand. Lopez deserved the decision, but Loma gave away the first 6-7 rounds and clearly did not want to engage with Lopez and struggled with his size.

I think it was more a case of a big lightweight beating a blown up featherweight, rather than Lopez being boxing's next superstar.

Hopefully Top Rank put Josh Taylor in with Lopez rather than Crawford as I think Taylor would beat Lopez quite comfortably.

Loma is too small at these weights. The warning signs were there against Campbell.

Congrats to Lopez, kid runs his mouth and backs it up. Lomachenko fan for a long time, hurting a bit. Lopez has so many options now, enjoy it.

Id like to see Loma go to 130. Teo has set standard for new generation of young fighters

Didn't see the fight but a few people saying it was a fight of two halves, with Loma battering Lopez in 2 of the later rounds?

I'll find the fight online to watch but do you guys think Loma would take a rematch?

    I had Loma winning round 7 - 11. Gave rounds 1-6 & 12 to Lopez.

    Right result but terrible scorecards.

Nope, Lopez was just too powerful for Loma. Also his speed was unbelievably good.
If he had exchanged earlier I think he would have been knocked out.

I struggled to give Loma any of the first 7/8 rounds.

What on earth was Loma thinking in those early rounds when he hardly threw a punch. At the weight he was never going to knock out Lopez so his tactics were baffling
