Loved Lopez comments about the 2 time email champion haha.

**** all these fighters who talk and don't do ****. The sooner we ignore them until they fight real opponents the better.

The disrespect people are giving Loma is a joke and just belittles Lopez performance and the weekend.

I can’t remember much of 7. 2 was a swing round if ever I saw one though. Most of Teo’s body work was blocked, whereas Loma landed a few clean shots to the head. If you still like the aggression of Lopez in that round then that’s ok but I just edged toward the cleaner shots in that one

Really is pathetic talk from him,not surprised though his true colours were exposed a while back.

Can see Lopez stepping up to 140 to fight for a vacant WBO title...Lopez v Catterall

You watched a different fight pal.....Loma did virtually nothing for 7 rounds by which time the fight was over ...He was throwing an average of 8 punches per round or something silly

The Loma v Campbell fight was much more close than this fight

I disagree with the last statement massively. Loma dropped Campbell and nearly stopped him. Agree Loma did little for the first half of the fight, barely anything. But Lopez didn’t do an awful lot more in a couple of those rounds. That’s enough to make the fight close on the cards with the way the fight panned out. If I rewatch I feel like I’ll get 7-5 Lopez which seems a popular score. That’s only one round out from where I was on first watch

8-4 to Lopez is about right.....but them 4 rounds were desperation by Loma ,the fight was already over ....

Perhaps reality setting in more than it was desperation.

To be clear, I’ve no issue with saying that Lopez was the right winner. But I think the narrative than Lopez dominated the whole fight with ease is an erroneous one

Well settling into a fight when you are 7 rounds down means you need snookers....Its easy throwing the kitchen sink at it when all is lost

I just need you to be clear, the fight was over after 7 rounds ....It might as well have been a TKO there and then because he was never stopping Lopez.....

I think the Loma of a few years ago wins this fight against 23 year old Lopez but his heart is not in it 100% anymore .....This is why i admire Floyd so much,to do what he did for so long is absurd

On my card it wasn’t over at that stage. It was on the edge of being over mathematically, and the reality was always going to be that Lopez would still win a round or two in the last stretch.

Maybe so. I think his gameplay was arrogant. Assumed his little pot shorting would steal those early rounds and frustrate Lopez but he wasn’t being given the openings he expected. He should probably have just stayed at the weight below, although got to respect him putting his body to its limits.

I'm gutted for Loma as I think this tarnishes his legacy somewhat, two defeats on the record, I very much doubt either will be avenged, the first certainly won't be and he's too old for Manny style trilogies and there aren't enough names willing to fight him to build him back up again. Basically he doesn't have enough time now.

They knew it was a short window and what he has achieved in that time is amazing. Still one of the best boxers i have ever seen just went 1 challenge too far in search of ATGreatness.

I agree with you there, I'm just gutted that it's gone this way, he's an absolute education to watch. My mate made a comment that he thinks the fame may have gone to Loma's head a bit, all of this exposure, the stuff he wears, I'm not so sure about that but then maybe there is something in it and ties in with the 1 challenge too far in search ATGreatness. I'm just gutted.

So it turns out that loma may have been carrying a shoulder injury going into this and had been taking injections in the build up according to reports.he should get no sympathy if this is true but could it explain his lack of volume for 2 thirds of the fight?

He should have postponed/pulled out if this is the case imo.
