Fair enough. To me, Inoue definitely looks on the smallish side at 118, and that is his 3rd weight class already (and technically, it's the 4th if you include the fact he skipped 112). Lomachenko might also be on the smallish side for 135, and 130 is probably ideal for him. But honestly, I'm not entirely convinced he can ever effectively drop back down to 126 at this point. And I likewise have doubts that Inoue can be effective north of 122.
Yes. I can't find any holes in any of that. I guess I will switch lanes and just say Lomachenko will have to get a rematch with Lopez and beat him, which I don't think is impossible, if he is going to stay at lightweight. I don't think anyone believes he will be content to just take fights that aren't championship fights. Otherwise he will have to move back to 130 if he plans on still fighting. If that does happen and Inouye moves to 126 I can see talk about a actual fight between them even if it's just talk.
I'll be honest with you I made this thread thinking it wouldn't go anywhere at all and am shocked at all the responses. I just joined the website yesterday and was creating my first thread to see how it all worked and needed a subject.
Yes I've seen a lot of knowledgeable guys and solid post already in my short time. I've also seen some idiotic and borderline racist comments and people. I guess it's like most places you just have to participate in the good stuff and ignore the idiotic
Enjoy posting your comments and threads here. Sometimes or many times you will be attacked, insulted or strongly criticized if you post anything that other members don't like or don't agree. I've got those things a lot and I get used to them.
I wouldn't be surprised either way. On one hand Loma was far and away the most overhyped under accomplished fighter of his generation. I mean he was ****ing exposed and embarrassed by a 23 year old kid far from his ceiling and who had fought mostly weak competition. He made Loma look like a stone cold bich. So Inoue winning would not surprise me in the least. I think Loma is totally bich-made like hiscompatriot Gvozdyk and is gonna kick it in after his embarrassing ass whooping instead of growing some stones and coming back and murdering Lopez. But thats not Loma, Loma ia NOT a fighter, hes a dancer and a painter.
An older fighter moving that far down is a bad idea if he was fighting a real featherweight, but a blown up bantam?
Yeah. A friend of mine who is 5ft 8 saw lomachenko at the airport. Told me he is small. Like 5ft 5 status
Inoue doesn`t have a jab like Loma`s and can`t fight on the outside the way Lopez did v Loma, plus he doesn`t have Lopez`s power.
