One of Austrailia's greatest and a fairly close doppleganger of "Hi-Tek."

I'm interested in the old head's opinion on this one...

None of the real historians want to take a shot at this one? Did anyone see Famechon fight?

Given Lomachenko's great footwork, good jab and ability to throw a high volume of varied shots, you'd think that he has the style and tools to do well against top pure boxers, even one with great/near great ability like Fammo. That said, he's never had to fight one with Famechons mobility, jab and defensive skill. Rigo and Russell aren't good barometers in that sense, a bit too static and measured in the footwork department for all their other virtues. I think Johnny was a slightly better fighter than Russell anyway and definitely better than the ageing, undersized version of Rigo that Vasyl got.

I think Lomachenko might have to throw a more consistent high volume stream of straight shots than I've typically seen him do so far; Famechon was an expert at deflecting hooks even in volume.

I'll say Lomachenko in a very good, competitive one on points.

If the fight takes place in Australia, Famechon wins by decision no matter what happens...

Lomachenko is a cut above. Famechon was excellent though no doubt about it. Lomachenko wins a clear decision by a few rounds.

If Loma upped his volume ala Harada (which I think he would) I see him gaining a UD.

I think Loma could do well against Pep actually. I ain't picking him like but I could see him doing better than against Armstrong. Pep was obviously greater and a bit more skilled, rounded and just as offensively voluminous but the style isn't an unkind one for Loma. I'd worry for him more against someone like Driscoll as master boxers go the. Equally good feet and big time power, timing and accuracy in his right.

I have a feeling that Winstone might have been a slightly tougher fight for Lomachenko than Fammo, I dunno. Again, equally good feet, atg jab and more of a willingness to let his hands go. Not as defensively sound as Fammo though, which would go against him.

Interesting match up, which is probably more interesting than the actual fight.

Both had/have sensational footwork (some of the best I’ve seen for both) and amazing defensive abilities (give Fammo the edge here because he was always thinking defense first).

Loma has a better and more varied punch arsenal and though not a big hitter probably has the edge in power. Fammo had a beautiful left jab and sneaky hook but was sparing with the right hand, keeping it attached to the left side of his chin for the most part.

Fammo has far too good head movement and footwork to get hit too much but Loma would simply outwork him to take a close and disputed decision. Both guys are too good in the same facets of the sport to make this anything other than a close run thing in my view but it’d be a fight for the purists more so than an action fight for the casual fan.

Can anyone explain to me what the heck these Bump comments are, are they just a way for someone to buildup more comments in their total number or is there a reason for it, i use to be in another forum where they constantly tracked your total posts and likes, like they were a contest. ANd guys would post 1 word comments all the time, which was just stupid, so I'm curious about the bump thing.

It's to restart discussion on an old thread. Like giving it a nudge or a bump, a bump-start or whatever.
