With all the Lomachenko hype on boxing forums, anything less than a very impressive performance by Vasyl will have him called "exposed". A lot of pressure for his first fight.

exactly, I don't think any world class fighters would read forums because it would be terrible for your mental state of mind hearing all the constant negative comments, every fighter has negative haters on here, every fighter gets criticism forums are ridiculously negative.

Since most of you DKSAB, i'll clue you in. Jonathan oquendo is by
far a stiffer test than any of our sorry olympians had in their pro
debuts. In fact it's been more than a year and none of our olympians
have yet faced any fighter even remotely on the level of oquendo.
This is an impressive opponent for a fighter who has only fought without
headgear in a recent tourney. I fully expect Loma to win every round but
if he doesn't put oquendo on a stretcher then i'm sure the idiots on here
will say he's just a great AM, but doesn't have what it takes to be a good
pro.

 

Apparently he is looking at the Salido-Cruz winner for his second or third fight.

 

Wow, that is absolutely crazy.

Even other former Olympians like Shumenov and Rigondeaux who stepped up quickly in the pro ranks were several matches in before they stepped up even close to Oquendo's level.

Heck, Gamboa used to get slobbered over for debuting and making his sophomore outing against guys 6-1 and 7-0 respectively.

Gennady Golovkin, considered a monster inspiring whispers of hushed awe long before he turned pro, did so against someone 1-22-3 with thirteen knockout losses!

Zou Shiming? Luke Campbell? Pfft, eat your hearts out bitches.

Lomachenko, oddly enough, both ought to be a big favorite and yet also ought to receive loads of credit for this as though he were an underdog of Buster proportions.

 

Lomachenko should pull out and retire. He's already become a fantasy ATG and has nothing more to accomplish as a pro. He can only ruin his legacy by fighting on.
