Mosley at 135 had it all. Too much speed, power, and height and reach advantage. Loma is not big enough to be any kind of threat to Mosley.
I don't think Shane fought any southpaws at 135. Not during his title reign. I think the lightweight Mosley was overrated. He seemed more polished at 147. Leija would at times easily slip Mosley´s probing jab(because he always overcommitted with it) and slip in beautiful body shots. This content is protected And Leija was able to feint Mosley quite effectively. Just look at how competitive Leija was! Dude was landing jabs and combinations almost at will. Shane was definitely overrated at 135. And i don't buy into the size argument. It won't automatically win you fights.
Close one. I'd give Loma technical ability and ring iq. Young Sugar Shane speed and power. Lean slightly to Loma, but not by much. If Linares can land some on Loma, I gotta think 135 Shane could. This should be good.
Using Leija as a way to slight Mosley is terribly erroneous. Jesse James has fought virtually EVERYONE who was near his weight over his career. He was a smart and savvy vet.
Could see SSM with a big KO win. Loma is NOT as LW, and Mosely was a lightning fast, hard hitting BIG LW.
Mosley was really a welterweight campaigning at lightweight. I'm pretty sure Mosley would have stopped Loma at some point (Mosley had exceptional handspeed at 135 pounds), whose best weight is probably 130 pounds. Loma's a small LW IMO.
are you kidding me, shane kills him, did you not see lomas last 2 fights at 135? mosley was atop the p4p lists a year after leaving lightweight, the man could fight. loma aint got the size or power to be loma, vs shane.
I like Shane because I think Loma is a small 135lbs. Maybe ill feel differently a year from now as the Linares was his first fight but he looked tiny in there.
