Shane was taking too much "sugar" at that time for Loma to handle imo. Too stacked a deck to overcome
Wow. Mosley by KO is the ONLY outcome of this fight. Hell, Mosley would have a better than decent chance of icing Pac, Floyd, and JMM.
With the wisdom that what happens to one fighter from another doesn't mean it translates to anyone else.
Of course not, that's not what I was suggesting. You've heard he phrase, "Styles makes fights", which means what one fighter did to another, does NOT mean he does it to everyone else. I don't know how to make that any more clear.
History has shown that size is not overrated unless you're a HW. Id be interested to hear why you think he's overrated though.
Your reading comprehension is fairly poor. Where did I EVER say or even imply they were on the same level? I didn't. Since you didn't comprehend my point, I will crayola it for you. You say Leija exposed weaknesses that Loma would take advantage of... and my point to that was that, yes Shane had defensive weaknesses but in order for Loma to take advantage of those... he would have to eat the same fire that Leija did. Do you know for a fact that Loma would still shoot for those weaknesses after tasting some Shane smoke? You act like "Oh, Leija took advantage of them so OF COURSE a faster and more skilled fighter would REALLY expose it." The fight game doesn't work like that dude. Loma would have to eat some huge bombs to do it, and I'm saying it didn't work well for Leija and probably wouldn't for Loma either.
Who gives a **** what my age is? If I was watching prime Mosley in the 90's ...that was over TWENTY years ago. It's not like it was 5 or 10 years ago. My point was that there are people who think that fighters from previous generations are always better than current ones and I am not of that opinion. I don't assume SRR walks through the elite Welters and Middleweights that came after him.
The legends from the 90s would most certainly walk thru the guys today, without a doubt. Guys today are freaking divas.
