Not out of the question but I still think extremely unlikely, just because Floyd is better than Linares doesn't mean that it automatically results in some easy destruction, that's not how boxing works and it's a mistake that rookies often make when making predictions. Styles make fights. Floyd is a fairly tentative fighter and he's pretty much a pure counter puncher unless situation calls for otherwise, Loma is a very clever boxer with high IQ as well, it would be a chess-match in my opinion with Floyd winning on counters and being a lengthier/bigger, faster guy.
2 Olympic Champs going after each other. Oscar with a 3" height, and 8" reach advantage. Plus, a quick powerful left hook. All the tools necessary to beat the smaller Lomo at Ltweight.
When Loma made the match with Linares, Mikey'd moved to LWW. So at the time, he was the best guy at LW. Since Mikey is planning to move back down, Linares is now the third best guy at LW, and Loma is first, so sorry Mikey still isn't number 1. A win over Linares ranks waaaaaaaaaaaaay higher than Zlaticanin.
In your world the only thing that matters is what corrupt officials call, that is until one of your fighters is on the wrong end of a screwjob, then they should be investigated. Such a ****ing lemming. Onto the knockdown..... But, but, but, but, but, but the they weren't knockdowns!!!!! Right? So they don't count!!! Never happened!!! This content is protected This content is protected Cling, cling, cling with all your might, like a dingleberry to that flash KD that you're hanging your hopes on.
Who's saying it did't?... You crackpot. But you're overemphasizing something relatively insignificant, like I just did when Corley rocked Floyd, in an effort to denigrate one of the most skilled fighters in the sport, because you're a scumbag, and that's what you do. Every fighter in the sport has been dropped or rocked on a few occasions, grow up.
Mikey never relinquished the WBC title, so yeah, he was the best lightweight, and still is. Look at Arum already trying to protect Loma, by claiming he's only making one offer for the fight Floyd didn't taste canvas like that though. Loma's face had an expression of bewilderment, as his arse went to the canvas. To be impartial though, I think Floyd may have been hurt much worse when Corely tagged him.
Loma isn't being protected, he just fought Rigondeaux and Linares back to back, give it a rest. Quit hoping and praying Loma will duck, because that's all it is, because you don't want another narrative of yours will go kablooey. So you think being rocked is better than being dropped? Who would you rather have been Jacobs being dropped by Mora or Quillin not being dropped against Jacobs?
Fighting a 122 pounder at 130 while having a 12 pound weight advantage isn't a tough fight. I'd give that to you, if Rig's had of fought every round like the first and it was competitive. That was one of the biggest disappointments of a fight since I've been watching boxing though. Loma had no problem period from round two on. Would have to look at it on a case by case basis. I've seen guys dropped good, but be less hurt than guys who never went down. Had Lomachenko been hurt like Floyd was hurt, he might have been stopped. I don't recall how hurt Jacobs looked when Mora slapped him down. Quillen was quite Bambi legged though. Quillen was more hurt staying up, than Jacobs was, in getting dropped by Golovkin.
