    Same height , same reach.

    Loma - infinitely better boxer.

    Speed similar.

Power - probably just with Hatton.

    who you got ?

Hatton would land about 4 punches on him before Loma KOs him with a body shot in round 4

Loma is too small for 140, but Hatton was also wildly overrated as was shown when he lost to Collazo and was lucky to get out of round 1 against PAC. I’d love to see if Loma could handle all the rough fouling and eventually take over the fight like he did with Salido. It would be epic.

I’d put my money on Loma.

You must be aware that the Hatton - Collazo fight took place at 147, where Ricky wasn't nearly as effective as he was at 140, so why even bring that fight up? How can Hatton be overrated at 147 when he is really only rated at 140? Also, Collazo is bigger than Loma and fights a very different style.

Anyways, with that silly comparison aside, it is my opinion that it would be an interesting fight. Since we have only seen Loma at 135 and Hatton is probably a top 15 jr welterweight of all time, I like Hatton by decision.

Given Loma's generational talent and defensive prowess, I would not be surprised that by the end of 2020, I am saying Loma beats Hatton at 140. We shall see.

Ya know, that was my first reaction too. Until I started to think about the next level talent that Loma is. Seems like this guy is meant for ATG status. If he beats Mikey next year at 135 and jumps to 140 with success, this hypothetical matchup is no longer a foregone conclusion.

That's a fight so immensely influenced by how it's reffed, I'm not sure I can call it. If Hatton is stopped from working inside, then Loma would dictate from mid-range. If the ref let them clinch and fight their way out, the odds flip in favour of the The Hitman.

    Wasn't Hatton's prime on 2005-06-04 only though?

I love Ricky Hatton, what a legend, he was an elite brawler, he was that good at it he could break up some real skillful guys, but an elite Boxer beats an elite brawler and Lomochenko is definatly elite. Hatton will swing at him with all his might but he would be swinging at thin air most the fight.

Hatton was an expert grappler and more mobile than Salido. It would be a very tough fight for Loma.

we just dont know how Loma carries his skills up, but we can guess he would be have some elite assets there.

until he does it, we cant really predict, but we can surely guess he would beat fighters lesser than hatton.
