Loma by UD. Not that I am supremely confident and have no reservations....Rig is an exceptional boxer and could very well pull off an upset. I'm just going by my gut feeling based on what I have seen most recently from both men.

Great fight made at the right time between a couple of southpaws who really know how to fight. Two Olympic Gold medalists (2x's).....Legendary Amateurs with insane records, Loma (396-1) ...Rig 475-12. Both are p4p ranked world champions and both are regarded as two of the very best pugilistic craftsmen in the sport today. This is one of the most important fights in the last 50 years. What's even more crazy is between the two of them, they have less than 30 professional bouts and well under 200 professional rounds between them.

This fight will come down to who will be able to control the pace and range....Loma is a high energy, pressure fighter who has a very unorthodox style vs Rig's classic boxer/puncher style that is very measured, conservative and precise. It's a contrast of styles as one is very offensive and the other extremely defensive but each man has a offensive framework that is extremely effective and efficient.

The big liability is Rig's inactivity over the last few years. Ring rust is a real thing. For a sharp shooter like Rig, the only way to to stay sharp is to stay active. His timing and accuracy had been off in his last few fights. He's managed to get victories, but he's faced guys we'll beneath his level. What concerned me was his counters were off and the shots he did manage to land, were just off the mark. He'll need to have his timing and accuracy calibrated if he wants to keep Loma honest....otherwise Loma will force Rig to be overly defensive and will lose comprehensively.
