his is a fight that I would REALLY like to see! As far as skill goes, this is probably the most competitive/technical fight that can be made in boxing!

Both are highly decorated amateurs, have made solid pro's, both are top-ten P4P guys, are around the same weight and are also very different from one another!

Rigondeaux is a MASTER BOXER. If there were PhD's in boxing, he should have one, and be a professor in some Ivy league school somewhere! He is so efficient with his activity and punch output, often too content to simply win rounds, always looking to mitigate risk. He's also a BIG puncher for his weight class, with defensive skills that are on par with Mayweather! Rigondeaux is a viscous counter-puncher, makes winning look effortless, extremely slick, slippery, cool, calm, and calculating. Who does his best work against active/aggressive fighters... which, bring us to Lomachenko...

Lomachenko is from another planet. Or, rather... is from the future! The high-powered... high-tech Lomachenko is a joy to watch! Active, aggressive, and entertaining! His footwork is so advanced that NASA should be gathering the specs! He's as agile and athletic as spiderman, throwing punches from all angles, footwork that is just unreal! Not much punching power, but is able to knockout fighters with an accumulation of punishment.

Lomachenko is also a little bigger than Rigondeaux. Hence, the necessity for this to be done at a catch weight.

    Who wins? (how/why)

    Will we see it?

Rigondeaux and to be honest it won't surprise me if he stop Lomachenko.

Don't know, but I'd pay to see this one. Intuition makes me want to pick Rigo. I kinda see this one as a knockout inside 8 rounds one way or the other.

Amazing bout and I'd go with Loma SD or a draw!

People picking Rigo, but he is been down in many fights, he is 36yo, he is smaller, has been fighting lower opposition than Loma since Donaire.
Apart from that Loma is much better, you can argue Rigo is the master of defense but you can also argue that Loma is the master of everything related to boxing

I am no scientist, but I am sure Rigo would be too small for Lomachenko :roto2cafe:

Picking Loma here. Logic makes me pic Loma but Rigo is an enigma who is at the height of specialism at what he does - try and score a round against him (when he's not taking that round off).
Loma should take the fight as he'll have a HOF resume by 10 pro fights.

Loma likes to come inside and fight at a short to mid range.

Rigo has the style to foil that with well placed bombs.

That being said Loma's pressure is the exact kind of style you'd expect to beat Rigo.

I'll say this. Rigo, if he's close to prime will probably toy with anyone who weighs the same as him. Best you can hope for is catching him off balance.

Loma is bigger and fresher so I think he'll win, but I don't think he's better, if that makes sense.

size matters. There's a reason this didn't happen already.

Loma too big , equally quick, more talented.

Rigo needs to stay at 122 and dominate. That fight would have been good because that mexican was willing to press and force the fight. Match him well and he's just fine. No need to chase a suicide mission in Loma at 130lbs.
