I hope this forum can get back to this. I lost hope in it so I messed around on General, writing more thoughtful posts in Classic. I'm going to write more sensibly. The odd thread like BlizzyBlizz's mother is gold though, that stuff must continue. Other than about 8 race baiting posters, there can and has been decent discussion here.
Yeah I completely agree, Loma has the edge being an elite boxer but Walters is a vastly underrated boxer, his wins over Marriaga and Sosa (officially a draw but that was a robbery) were very impressive against two tough tough fighters. I wish Walters would have been more active but I think Arum shelved after he rejected the Loma fight due to what he thought was a bad purse. Great fight I'm excited if this comes to fruition best fight after Ward Kova
I agree. He's very good at using his very long range effectively, good jab, his uppercuts are very accurate, he can be tenacious from close range and is effective at counter punching. I give the edge to Walters because of his competition alone. Loma was bullied by an old, fat, out of shape on fight night vet and has faced subpar guys since. Walters had to fight 2 undefeated guys after Donaire and you still missed that fact that he had to bring out his "A game" to get a draw. This content is protected This content is protected
Lomachenko is an excellent boxer but he has glass hands and when he is forced to punch hard it breaks... This content is protected
Damn great fight! I've been wanting to see this since both were at 126. Props to both men for making this fight happen if true.
The Blizzy Big Hands was the thread of the year I FINALY just put him and him alone on my ignore list
I am not writing the Axe man completely off as he has mad skills and power but I do lean towards Lomo with a UD and worst case, for Axe Man, an unexpected late TKO from Lomo. I would not be shocked if it went to the cards and we have some crying robbery but I just want to enjoy the fight and let the cards, no pun intended, fall in place win or lose for either guy.
This is a much better fight than Ward/Kovalev. Won't get as much attention but much more exciting on paper. I rate Walters, he has very good power but I think Loma is going to put on a defensive masterclass and embarrass Walters like he did Russel Jr and Martinez.
