Lomachenko will face the winner of Commey vs Chaniev

Pacquiao has the power to end Lomachenko with a single shot. Lomachenko could school him, but Pacquiao is 10X the puncher of any fighter he has fought and he brings speed and angles. Pacquiao will eventually land and he'd put him away.

No issues with Loma unifying 135. Once he does that the 130 lbers, if they have any stones, will want to fight him.

Right now, none of those 'tough' 130 lbers had expressed any real interest in fighting Loma when he was at 130. So that line of reasoning is absolute BS!

Loma's objective is clear : to unify all the belts in 135.

Some of you might say that his next opponents are trash and not comparable to his level. It is true, but not their title. Their title and status are legit. The winner of Commey and Chaniev will have the IBF title and Crolla is the mandatory challenger of WBA. If he beats all those guys, the only thing left is WBC title held by Mikey Garcia. Unless he got KO'ed, no matter what the result of his next fight against Spence is, it won't change the fact that he is still the WBC 130 lbs champion.

By having all three titles (and minus one), it'll create bigger bait and better bargaining position for Loma to negotiate against Garcia. And all other big names in 130 and 140 who would like to come up or come down, such as Davis or Berchelt, will only have very limited choice of title path, either facing him or Garcia.

So this is the right choice.

 

Lomachenko said that he needed a year. Then he said he needed a catch-weight. Then he said it had to be at 135. Then he said no fight.

If you don't see the goalpost being moved by Lomachenko, that's your fault.
