Lomachenko would have a tought fight with Tank Davis

I think Linares is better than Tank Davis.

 

I think Tank can give Loma troubling moments, but ultimately, Loma steps up another gear and takes it away.

It's a totally different fight to the Linares one. Gervontaa is definitely more comfortable on the back foot than Linares, and he is going to have to be, because he'll be doing it for 12 rounds. We saw that Linares really struggled, he was confused in parts of that fight because he couldn't counter Loma's constant offense. He was on the back foot for all 12 rounds and didn't know what to do.

Loma will be more wary, Gervontaa has slightly more power than Linares. But let's be honest, there is a HUGE skill gap here between the two. Mayweather can teach him all he wants, but Loma will still be levels above in terms of skill. Gervontaa's experience lets him down in this fight. It will be a comfortable points win for Loma, 10-2 for me.

Gervontaa has power going for his side, but that's all he has. He will be forced onto the back foot from round 1, and most of his shots will be hitting gloves. Easy win for Lomachenko.

 

I think Tank presents danger for Loma in the early rounds because of his speed and explosiveness. But the difference in class will tell over time, and Tank gets methodically broken down and stopped late.

Good fight. Got to favor lomachenko at this stage. Gets more interesting if its left a couple of years. Davis only 23. Lomachenko 30 I think. Would give Davis more of a chance in say three years time. I say Davis struggles with the pace lomachenko sets. Constantly makes his opponent work to stop him completely dominating you. Davis already showing signs hes not the most dedicated in the gym a couple of fights back. The stamina usually the first thing to fail them. Although tbf think his training camp looked better for his last fight.

Davis looks a talent as well tho. Think he,d be competitive over the first six could be interesting if he could land as much as Linares did. Would expect loma check I to run away with it in the end.

Indeed so. But Davis is not yet ready for Loma IMHO.

Floyd didn't want that fight a year ago, because he knew Davis wasn't ready and would lose. The reason he's talking about making that fight now is not because he thinks Tank is ready, but because he's really unhappy with Davis (it's about Floyd's 18 yr old daughter Iyanna).
