I know it’s not occurred to you that Haney is capable of putting Loma in a box. We do know that there are at least 2 ways of beating Loma but no blueprint for Haney yet.
Loma is just unlucky. No one knows when he'll fight again. We would be lucky if he can fight again next year. One year in inactivity would take away his form, especially when he is now living in a war-torn country. To be honest, I just want to see him fight again, win or lose. He is a rare talent of boxing artist. Well, maybe everyone would want to face him now as he is getting old now.
Loma ****ed it up He should be unified and undisputed lightweight champion of the world today. Instead he's stationed in Ukraine , sitting through and unwinnable war against russia. The worst part is, these regional defense force units (which he is a part of) as of last week are no longer considered 'regional' and are being assigned to the front. Hopefully he's considered a national treasure and won't be sent to the front lines to be Russian hamburger meat ....but then again the comedian turned president makes many stupid decisions . Anyways, Kambosos will certainly exercise his rematch clause and collect his last payday, and Loma wouldn't have a shot at Haney and those titles for another calendar year. Which is awhile to be on the bench, marketability drops....of course Haney will take Ryan Garcia or Tank instead. For various reasons I think I believe it's likely we won't see Lomachenko fight again.
Most of the nation overwhelmingly supports Zelensky. This boxing forum is full of so many ****-takes about Ukraine. Lol. Pressure and hard punching. Haney's chin is suspicious, poor recovery. Kambo's style is awful for fighting low output slick backfoot fighters. Haney's great test is yet to arrive: a steel-chinned, high stamina, brawler having comparable muscle mass.
He knows some things, and can do some things, but he's so limited, once he fights someone his size, it's gonna be ugly.
Hard to argue with that. I think Davis lasts longer than that though. If anybody thinks that Loma doesn’t slice right through Haney and Kambosos after that shitshow then they don’t know boxing.
Note to self - never listen to this guys opinions. You’re living on another planet. After that performance from Haney you think he stops or out points Lomachenko?
The problem is, we don't know what Loma and his father are thinking. Many Ukrainians are leaving the country and yet they choose to stay. Zelenskyy already made an official statement that sportsmen like Loma would be exempted from his national defense duty. Usyk, for example, is preparing himself for Joshua rematch. And here we are with Loma, it seems things going nowhere. There is indication that Russia would advance to Odessa, the place Loma live. I suspect there is something complicated happened.
whoa, I missed it. How much did Haney weigh in that ring ??? i remember seeing a picture of him with Terrance Crawford and being shocked how Haney was clearly the bigger and more strapping man.
