Yeah, my sentiments exactly. However, if you're basing a lack of an inside game from the Salido fight then that's a big mistake. Not being able to defend against continued and relentless illegal tactics is not indicative of an inside game lacking. It also shows tons of big fight maturity to keep ones cool when you know the ref and commission are against you in your 2nd pro fight. Also, Loma doesn't have Zach Walters power, but he's not exactly a light hitter either.
He needs to beat Donaire or Walters before I'll be a believer. When he's #1 in his division, then maybe he can enter the p4p ranks. As it is, he lost to Salido, which suggests that maybe he's not as good a fighter as Juan Manuel Marquez, Yuriorkis Gamboa, or Mikey Garcia who all beat Salido. To tell the truth, I'm not getting a Mayweather/Pacquiao best of a generation type vibe off of this kid. He looks technically sound, there are a lot of technically sound fighters. He doesn't look as good as Rigondeaux, or like Ricardo Lopez used to. So let's just wait and see.
