Seeing Linares get tooled like that not long after giving Lomachenko a rough fight, may damage Loma's standing in the eyes of those who were previously overhyping Linares in the first place. It didn't surprise me, but I didn't inflate Linares' ability pre Loma fight. I called out his suspect resume the whole time.

Why does anyone think it changes the Lomachenko fight in anyway? People are weird. Linares is older, a weight division higher, and got jumped on in the first round.
Linares was still the man and in form at 135, and the smaller Lomachenko knocked him out.
If anything it shows that moving up a weight division matters, and should elevate Lomachenko’s win against Linares.

Loma is better p4p than Spinks was judging him during his heavyweight fights and Tyson was better P4P than Manny, certainly Tyson being the natural bigger man v Spinks was more significant than Manny being bigger than Loma because Tyson was more effective at getting guys out early than Manny and every punch was thrown to KO the opponent, Manny has never been as deadly as that and was never as explosive as Mike P4P, Tyson was probably the worst fighter to fight if you were moving up in weight, because his game all revolved around his explosive punching style, he was a search and destroy fighter.

I'd say a 40 year old is pretty legacy. ;)

lol U think Linares was the same fighter BEFORE he fought Lomachenko, and AFTER he fought him? 2 different fighters bro. that Loma fight took everything out of him. he wasn't the same.

Manny is far better than Jones was when he was slapped around by Calzaghe.

Floyd started slower than Loma did and was timing Hatton with the counter hook as he came in it wwas just a matter of adjusting Linares had faster hands tghan Hatton and more reach he wasn`t rushing in, he was harder to hit.

All these guys are much further along in their pro careers. Fighting Khan is no test what so ever. Loma has fought far better opposition than Crawf.

Loma started pro at an older age. Much less if any natural growth in Loma going up divisions.
