They're both highly skilled fighters, and Linares skin has been holding up lately so I don't see a TKO/KO for Loma by any means. I think it comes down to a very tight Decision, a true pick em fight. Only a ****ing ****** would think Loma would carry a punch upto 135 and get a stoppage, when he's barely stopping guys in lower divisions due to punch output. Linares is a very durable fighter at 135.
That's the fight I wanna see even more than a fight with Mikey. I would pay to see that. There is no advantage in skills for either fighter. The fight would be a chess match and would be determined by brains and that's what the sweet science is all about.
Loma beats Linares. Kevin Mitchell was throwing uppercuts and hooks off the backfoot and hurting linares, dropping him and lighting him up. Mitchell hasnt got the defence, footwork, chin, skills, stamina of Lomachenko. Linares has beaten a one dimensional fighter in crolla twice, loma would have done the same. Linares takes breaks in fights, where he will walk around the ring posing, Lomachenko will bring it to him non stop and just break him down.
My dream fight as of right now. Linares and Lomachenko are the two most beautiful boxers in the sport. This would be technical, beautiful boxing between two guys with blazing speed. Graceful. I favor Loma (8-4, 7-5 type of fight), in a competitive but clear decision. The pinpoint accuracy of Loma's punches landing right on the button and on the eye brow would eventually cut paper face open and take their toll.
Really enjoyed that fight. Though Linares lost most of the rounds before the stoppage, I thought him competitive in each round, if that makes any sense.
